LeBron James Wants An NBA Team In Las Vegas

While speaking to the media after the Los Angeles Lakers' second preseason loss recently, he expressed an interest in there being a Las Vegas NBA team. "It's the best fanbase in the world," LeBron said about Las Vegas. "I would love to bring a team here at some point. That would be amazing."

The four-time NBA champion had a message for the league's commissioner, Adam Silver. "I know Adam is in Abu Dhabi right now, I believe. But he probably sees every single interview and transcript that comes through from NBA players," he said. "So, I want the team here, Adam. Thank you."

This isn't the first time the NBA star has mentioned the fact that Las Vegas needs a team. During a June episode of "The Shop: Uninterrupted," he explained that he wants to own an NBA team after he retires, and specifically in Las Vegas. "I want to own a team. I want to buy a team for sure," he said. "I want a team in Vegas. I want the team in Vegas."
