Until news surfaced about their breakup, most fans didn't even know that Sean Larkin and Lana Del Rey had been a couple. Their longer-than-expected relationship was first "outed" to the public back in September of 2019 when the couple was spotted by paparazzi while out for a stroll in Central Park. Cruising the "Lust For Life" starlet's Instagram you will find evidence of a life well-lived but nothing about her relationship with the 'Live PD' real-life cop. Larkin, on the other hand, has managed to slip in a photo or two but never alluding to anything about their relationship.

Del Rey did end up addressing the romance in a few interviews, including one with the Los Angeles Times where she admits, “I didn't know we were being photographed. I would've worn something different.”

When asked if the “Born To Die” singer, who always attests to a life of “love, drugs, and money”, was worried about her decision to date a cop, she defended Larkin. "Well, the thing is, he's a good cop. He gets it. He sees both sides of things," she explained.

Larkin, who also goes by "Sticks" told The New York Times: “Right now, we’re just friends. We still talk and whatnot, we just have busy schedules right now.” While some fans are indecisive, others never thought the match was a good idea from the start. Prior to their breakup, one Instagram fan wrote, "He’s the f**king worst!! She doesn’t need a bodyguard clinging on to her the whole time."

46-year-old Larkin even admits that his 17 and 22-year-old children were also quite surprised when he started dating Del Rey.

Though the relationship seemed to be off-key, the couple seemed quite happy together - splitting their time between Los Angeles and Tulsa, where Larkin was based. Still, his background as a reality-star, cop, and CrossFit junkie set him as a complete opposite from Del Rey's former suitors. It seems her taste, though varying, usually swings towards the alternative type.

She had previously dated Scottish singer Barrie-James O'Neill for three years until 2014, before moving on to Italian photographer Francesco Carrozzini in 2015, and then had a short fling with rapper G-Eazy in 2017.

Though they both confirm they are just friends, A$AP wasn't shy about admitting his feelings in a previous interview with Billboard, "I first had had a crush on her from seeing her on the Internet -- I fell in love with her voice the first time I heard it. I probably heard it in July, August for the first time, I think it was 'Blue Jeans.' And from then on, I'm like… I love her!"

Lana Del Rey has not admitted to dating any of her frequent music video opposites and collaborators, A$AP Rocky and The Weeknd, but that doesn't keep fans from speculating about her relationship with either hip-hop gamechanger. The friendship between Del Rey and A$AP is always one of particular interest; fans have even gone as far as writing romantic fiction about the two.
