Clare Crawley may not be that into any of her current contestants signed up for ‘The Bachelorette.’ After announcing that the show would go on hiatus during the coronavirus outbreak, Clare has encouraged production to look into casting new contestants as reported by Entertainment Tonight. Clare the oldest ‘Bachelorette’ at 38 years old. Since the contestant is usually in her late 20’s or even as young as 23 last season, the contestants are on the younger side averaging at 29.
Production was shut down before Clare could meet any of her potential men. While most bachelorettes aren’t allowed to get a sneak peak at contestants, but since filming was suspended, Clare was given her phone back and checked out the men.
“I’m not saying this personally — but I feel like since we have a break in the show right now, I don’t think it’s too late to submit people,” Crawley told fans on Tuesday. “So, submit them, why not? What’s the worst that could happen?”
When asked about her thoughts about younger contestants, she said she wasn’t opposed
“Yes. Yes, yes, yes. Not too much younger… but younger,” she shared. Does that mean 23 years old is “much younger?” Sounds like it.
Clare made statement after production was halted. “Well hello! Talk about most dramatic season ever! In all seriousness, Everyone’s health is the most important priority at this time, and as I’m sure you’ve heard, we are pressing pause for now on filming The Bachelorette. ?,” Crawley wrote.
“We are taking it day by day and even hour by hour as this is so unpredictable. All I know for sure is that my heart is so full from all the love and support this far, and am still so excited for my journey to begin! I’ve waited 38 years for these moments, what’s a little bit longer, right! ?❤️xoxo,” she added.
Clare initially competed on Juan Pablo’s season of ‘The Bachelor.’ After rejecting her at the final two, she took the opportunity to tell him off.
Chris Harrison also addressed the show being postponed on social media. He uploaded a video on Instagram. He revealed that he is “hopeful” that the cast will be available to film once production resumes.
“To the men who had given up time in their lives to go on this adventure, I say, ‘Thank you, thank you for understanding. Hopefully everything will work out and we can all be back together again,'” he said addressing his fans in his Instagram video.
