Singer Britney Spears has been experimenting with her look for quite a while now.
Back in February, she dyed the ends of her hair purple, although she later confessed that she “hated” the color in a since-deleted Instagram post.
It looks like she’s ready for another style switch-up, as she teased her followers on Tuesday, October 4, with a topless video that showed her rolling around in the ocean with a new short haircut.
Britney Spears Confesses ‘I Cut All My Hair Off’ In Topless Video
In an Instagram video posted to her account on Tuesday, October 4, the “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer revealed her new look in a twenty-nine-second clip that showed off her new short hair. It looks like she is not ready to fully debut her new look, as she concealed most of her hair underneath a wide-brimmed hat. That being said, her hair is noticeably shorter as she rolls around in the ocean, showing off a noticeably shorter ponytail underneath her pink hat.
“I cut all my hair off … I don’t want to show it yet ✂️✂️✂️!!!” Britney wrote in the caption.
Although many fans told Britney to put on sunscreen, other fans were worried about how this latest video would affect her relationship with her two teenage sons, who have made it clear that they’re uncomfortable with her NSFW social media posts and have distanced themselves from her because of her “erratic” social media behavior.
One fan quoted Britney directly, saying, “They hear me but they’re not really listening,” referring to her two boys. They then wrote, “These are your own words. Your children have asked you to do posting in ways that are causing them distress, so why wouldn’t you be the change you want to see? Why wouldn’t you do better for them? Why wouldn’t you break the cycle of abuse because you know how damaging it is?”
“Your anger is valid and it’s healthy. However, the way you are venting your anger isn’t,” the user continued. “Find a therapist of your own choosing, make the environment safe, and in your own time, get well. Take responsibility for yourself, and your children and be better. We all have s— we go through, every single one of us, we all have trauma/unresolved childhood issues, but once we acknowledge it, we are responsible for healing it. Love & Light Britney Spears.”
Many fans agreed, with one fan writing, “Now that’s a comment I love to read, to the point, honest, caring and with best intentions 🙌.” Another follower commented, “These videos are disrespectful to your kids. Yes, you look amazing but they asked you to stop because it’s embarrassing for them…please try and think of how this affects them.”
However, it seems that the “Toxic” singer didn’t appreciate what fans had to say about her relationship with her two teenage boys, as she slammed the “absolutely hateful” comments that people left on her video on Wednesday morning.
Britney Slams ‘Absolutely Hateful’ People Who Comment On Her Posts
In another Instagram post on Wednesday, October 5, the “Slumber Party” singer shared a photo of an eye to show that she is able to see the “absolutely hateful” comments that people left on her recent post.
“I was shocked to see how many comments there were under my post l did yesterday,” Britney wrote. “I looked and good god people are absolutely hateful !!! It saddens me to realize a person who watches something on Instagram that doesn’t even know me takes the time to even comment and say such hateful words !!! What a sad life !!!”
She also took aim at the users who had brought up her kids in the comments. “Yes I’m sensitive so it hurt my feelings and as for all of your comments about my kids go … the last phone call I had with my son that I haven’t spoken to in 9 months he literally laughed in my face and hung up 🙄 !!!” she revealed. “Absolutely hateful !!!”
“I do social media because I find joy out of making my silly videos 📲 !!!” she added. “People are hateful so my advice to people in this world is if you’re lucky to find someone nice … hang on for life because those are rare 💎 !!!”
