Kelsea Ballerini Breaks Down In Tears Mid-Concert

Kelsea Ballerini is currently on tour promoting her new album "Subject to Change," after having recently split from husband Morgan Evans of five years.

The 29-year-old country singer has said she is on an "active healing journey," and admits that not every day is easy. During one of her recent concerts, Ballerini was singing her song "What I Have," which led the singer to break down in tears.

Kelsea Ballerini recently dropped a new, powerful song called “What I Have,” which Ballerini co-wrote with Cary Barlowe and Alysa Vanderhym. The song is part of her recent album, "Subject to Change," which was released on September 23.

“My neighbor’s grass is the hit of the street / But that don't mean mine ain't just as green / I've been comparin' shiny new toys / It's just the root of the thief of my joy / I know that's just the pony show,” Ballerini sings in the first verse.

The song continues, “'Cause I got a roof over my head / I've got a warm body in bed / I'm doin' all right, right where I'm at / With what I have."

The singer was playing the guitar to "What I Have" during her recent concert when suddenly, she broke down in tears. Noticing that Ballerini couldn't sing, the fans took over and loudly sang the lyrics for her as she continued to play guitar.

At one point, the country music singer turned around and faced away from the crowd, raising her arm to her eyes and wiping away tears.

Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans, 37, tied the knot in December 2017, but after five years of marriage, the "Miss Me More" singer announced her divorce from Evans earlier this year, on August 29.

“This deeply difficult decision is the result of a journey of love, growth and effort that ultimately has come to an end," she said in a statement. "It's hard to find the words here ... but I feel extremely grateful for years of marriage to Morgan and hopeful for the next seasons."

Morgan Evans also released his own statement later that day, writing, "I am very sad to confirm that after almost 5 years of marriage, Kelsea and I are parting ways. I wish it were otherwise but sadly it is not."

When speaking to PEOPLE about her recent divorce, Kelsea Ballerini said the decision was "not chaotic" nor "volatile," ultimately saying "It just didn't work."

"That sometimes is a difficult narrative to get your head around when you're just like, 'Oh my gosh, this is a good person and I'm a good person and this just isn't good anymore'," she admitted.

Ballerini continued, "It's easy to shame yourself and it's easy to want to hide, and I just want to be proud of myself in 10 years on this season of my life. This is not just a heavy time in my life, this is also a celebratory time in my life. I don't want to shade that because that's important to feel."
