Kenya Moore on behalf of the female community, you deserve more, no pun intended. When Kenya finally had someone put a ring on her beautiful finger, fans were beyond elated. If anyone worked hard enough to achieve that strong family unit, it was Kenya. Those past hardships with her own mother who has refused all her life to not acknowledge her is probably one of the main reasons Kenya held on to her relationship with Marc Daly so unreasonably long.
It was clear to not only the “RHOA” cast but also viewers that Marc Daly wasn’t the one for confident Kenya. A key marker for any toxic relationship is if around your significant other you feel a need to mold, or tone down your personality. When around Marc, Kenya was not herself. She looked as if she was constantly walking on eggshells which was astounding to watch considering Kenya isn’t afraid to burst anyone’s bubble. With another clip released showing Kenya describing how she found another woman’s number in her husband’s phone, things have gone from bad to worse.
Marc’s sentiment around Kenya itself was one of annoyance. He looked as if he couldn’t even stand to be near the woman who birthed his child. The grievances didn’t end there but they did explode at an event where the both of them attended together. The smile Kenya was putting on appeared so disingenuous and created to mask whatever hurt feelings she had going on at that time. It is soul crushing to see someone so unapologetic in nature turn into the opposite right in front of our very eyes.
What was super telling when struggle watching this season of “RHOA”had to be Nene Leakes coming out in defense of Kenya. Trying to be a supportive rock for the same woman she feigned spitting on. You know it’s bad between you and your husband if your enemy is reaching out. But, thank God for people like this. We all need friends to be our anchors when life becomes at times so unbearable, and loneliness can creep in like a hidden intruder.
It’s going to be a match for the ages when all these fiery women come together for the sure to be messy reunion. Let’s hope Andy Cohen already had the show on the road pre this Coronavirus stint because if not, production could be halted. If that happens the amount of middle aged tears that will be shed is going to be historic. Come on Bravo, we need something to live for. Even if Nene isn’t as witty as she used to be, at least Porsha has good one liners.
