Heather Rae Young Reveals How Tarek El Moussa's Kids Reacted To Pregnancy

Heather Rae Young has certainly had a head-start on being a mother!

Tarek El Moussa's wife, who is expecting their first child together, has been quite open with letting fans come along on her pregnancy journey, which she had previously described as "an exciting time of her life." Now, Heather has given another update on how her 'bestie's' kids took the news of conceiving and who found out about it right after Tarek.

When news of the star's pregnancy broke, fans flooded their posts with congratulatory messages. Since then, the family has been cozying up and spending as much time together as possible. 

The soon-to-be mom who shares two stepkids with her husband from his first marriage — Taylor, 12, and Brayden, 7 — recently posted to her Instagram page a picture of herself and her stepdaughter. 

The photo showed them sitting in the backseat of a car, with the 12-year-old giving her stepmom a peck on the cheeks. Heather explained in the caption how Taylor stole her heart the day they met for the first time and how she "couldn't have asked for a better response from Tay and Bray about our pregnancy."

She disclosed that the little girl was the first person to know about the pregnancy the same night she told her husband. The "Playboy Playmate of the Month" honoree told followers that while they were tucking Taylor into bed, she said she would like to be the first to know if they ended up having a baby. Heather then wrote:

"So we had to tell her right then and there instead of surprising her and Bray together. I love this girl to pieces and can't wait to see her be the best big sister to another baby brother."

Knowledge of Taylor finding out about the pregnancy before everyone else brings to mind how her dad first reacted when he got the memo. The Blast shared that the real estate expert announced the news of her pregnancy with husband Tarek El Moussa before then showing followers his surprising reaction to the information.

Heather uploaded the post, which consisted of two videos and a picture, to her Instagram page to her 2.8 million followers. The first video saw the expectant mother handing her husband a box he opened to find pregnancy sticks.

He looked at his wife with shock asking if she was pregnant; when she nodded in the affirmative, he responded with a curse, "holy sh*t!" and then leaned in for a kiss and hug.  

In the next slide, the "Love in Time of Monsters" actress gave a closer look at the box's contents which included three test sticks and a cute bear gray onesie. The last clip showed the moment she realized she was pregnant and was in the process of trying to accept it.   

Alongside the post, the reality tv star wrote, "Now that the secret's out here comes the fun part.. story time." She then explained that she was two days late on her period, and then her husband asked her to take a pregnancy test to be sure, but she blew it off. 

After the "Flip or Flop" star left for work, Heather took a digital test but forgot to check it until much later when she discovered the positive test. She added that after taking two more tests, she finally believed it and started to get excited to share the news with her husband. 

The couple is no strangers to showing off their love for each other and intimate details of their life on their various social media platforms. As reported by The Blast, one post worthy of mention is the one he penned to his wife, whom he married in an intimate open-air ceremony in 2021.  

The pictures showed the pregnant mum and proud expectant father in different places and outfits with his hands always around her in a close embrace. The lengthy message started with "photo dump with our baby bump" and blue heart emojis.

The "Flipping 101" creator mentioned that the current pregnancy reminded him of when he learned he would be a dad for the first time. He wrote that the news made him decide to love his kids unconditionally and put his family first. 

This new addition reinforced his feelings adding, "Tay, Bray, and Heather are my world, and bringing another baby El Moussa into the family makes me feel those feelings all over again. I'm lucky to have a baby boy with the woman of my dreams."

The sweet message ended with Tarek noting that he knew she would be a great mother, evidenced by how she was with his kids.
