'Monster Garage' Host Jesse James And Wife, NHRA Driver Alexis DeJoria Are Getting Divorced

'Monster Garage' star and motorcycle mogul Jesse James has announced the break up of his marriage with NHRA Driver Alexis Dejoria.
Jesse broke the news in an Instagram post, where he was answering the question on whether or not he will be working on his wife's dragster next year. Jesse has worked with his wife for 5 years on her NHRA drag car team.
Instead, the motorcycle mogul explained he and his wife are getting a divorce after seven years of being together.
"I know a lot of you have been asking if I will be attending the NHRA races this year to work on Alexis’ funny car. Its with an incredible amount of sadness to let you know Alexis and I have decided to end our marriage," his statement began.
The 'West Coast Choppers' boss continued, "We spent close to seven amazing years together. Working on her race car for five of those years was one of the highlights of my life. Also, a highlight was trying my best to be a good dad to her daughter. Something that will leave a huge hole in my heart forever.
Jesse explained to his fans that the reason for the breakup was simply the two of them grew apart. "Unfortunately at the end of the day, our lives were just headed in different directions. Creating a distance that was insurmountable," he wrote.
In the end, Jesse asked that everyone give the couple some privacy as they work through the divorce, saying, "I wish her the absolute best in her racing and life. I hope you can respect our privacy in this tough time. Thank you."
Interestingly, Jesse just announced the reboot of his smash hit television show, 'Monster Garage.' Also, Alexis (who is the daughter of John Paul DeJoria, co-founder of billionaire hair care giant Paul Mitchell) put out a statement committing to her NHRA team.
"I started my Professional NHRA career in a Toyota Camry Nitro FC. 10 years later I’m proud to say they still believe in me and will continue to support me in my efforts to become the 1st Female Champ in the class. It truly is an honor to represent this company and the incredible people that I get to work with," she said in a recent post.
As you know, Jesse has dated Sandra Bullock and dated Kat Von D and has a daughter who is currently pregnant.
