Nia Long can not seem to catch a break!

As an actress, the 51-year-old has made a name for herself in Hollywood, especially in Black cinema. However, being an A-lister did not mean the entertainer enjoyed being chased by the paparazzi.

Following news of her fiancé Ime Udoka's affair with a staffer, the media has barely given the New Yorker any breathing space. Now, the mother-of-two is speaking out about mental health.

Long may be going through a difficult situation, but that has not stopped the caramel-toned beauty from reaching out to her adoring fans on social media. The "Boyz n the Hood" star updated her Instagram page on Tuesday, October 4, with a message about mental health.

The statement was shared via a picture format with no credit to the author, which may or may not be the actress. The note read, "A tip for mental health.. learn to distinguish who deserves an explanation, who deserves one answer, and who deserves absolutely nothing."

In less than three hours after dropping the motivational post, fans and celebrities supported the message by dropping over 50,000 likes and nearly 3,000 comments. These comments included numerous emojis and sweet notes from inspirational Black figures like the actress.

Meagan Good, Viola Davis, Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles, record producer DJ Pooh, CEO of The Britto Agency Marvet Britto, and Busta Rhymes, to name a few, were among the list to share some words.

Although Long did not offer any insight about her mental health post, it is essential to note that the message came a few days after the 51-year-old was spotted in Los Angeles. As seen in a video shared on Twitter, the "Fatal Affair" actress and her youngest son Kez were heading back to their car when a cameraman approached them.

Doing her best to protect her son from the nosy reporter, the mother-of-two hurriedly navigated the parking lot to reach her vehicle. However, the paparazzi would not be deterred, and he kept up with Long's pace while asking questions.

The man's determination to get answers could be because this mother-and-son outing marked the first time the actress had been seen since her fiancé's cheating scandal surfaced.

For a woman whose partner cheated on her, the NAACP Image Award winner seemed unfazed by the incident. For her shopping trip with Kez, the mother-of-two rocked a plunging black top, jeans, and a pair of dark sunglasses.

Her youngest child followed the casual theme with a purple t-shirt, a face cap, black trousers, and sneakers designed with black and white patterns. While the pair looked great, it was impossible not to notice the absence of Long's shiny engagement ring.

Although the reporter tried to get the "Love Jones" star to express her feelings about Udoka's infidelity, the 51-year-old declined to comment on the situation. However, her body language would not be silenced.

When asked if she was "working things out" with the disgraced Boston Celtics coach, the Hollywood heartthrob laughed before getting into her car with her son in tow.

Last month, The Blast reported that Long broke her silence about Udoka's affair with a Celtics staffer. For violating the team's policies, the former Basketballer received a temporary suspension from his position as head coach.

Following news of her fiancé's infidelity, the "Soul Food" actress issued a statement expressing her gratitude to fans and loved ones for supporting her. The New Yorker noted that it was a difficult time and implored the public to respect her privacy as she did not wish for the incident to affect her duties as a mother.

During their longtime relationship, Long and Udoka welcomed a son named Kez Sunday Udoka in 2011. The entertainer's first son Massai Dorsey II was born during her relationship with the actor Massai Dorsey.

Once the Nigerian-American felt the internet wrath, The Blast revealed that the Portland native penned an apology message on Twitter. In his statement, the 45-year-old begged for forgiveness from his co-workers, team, family, and fans.

Although he noted that he placed his team in a "difficult situation" and deserved punishment, the suspended coach did not mention his fiancée. This apparent omission angered Twitter fans, many of whom pointed out that Udoka was more concerned about his image rather than hurting Long.
