Are Common and Tiffany Haddish Dating? Tina Knowles Thinks So

Long-time friends rapper Common and actress/comedienne Tiffany Haddish have been seen out and about a lot lately, which has been leading the rumor mill to believe that there's something more than friendship brewing in the air between the pair. But, are they or aren't they?

A recent comment left on the Night School actress' Instagram by Queen Mother Tina Knowles has the public thinking that there is much more truth to the rumors than either Common or Haddish is letting on.

Common has been back in the dating game since confirming his split for the second time with political activist and CNN commentator Angela Rye. The Let Love Have the Last Word author was very vocal about the pivotal role therapy played in their reunion. In a 2019 interview, Common shared:

“I think being able to go through situations where I didn’t do good in relationships, some of that was my responsibility, and after repeating that, being like ‘What am I doing wrong?’ and working on self, I’m able to come to a relationship more like whole. This is where I am with it, this is what I’m looking for. If things change, then let’s communicate. I’m real honest with myself. Therapy helped me to do that."

"It helped me to be like, some of the stuff I’m putting on this person is really stuff from my childhood; baggage I’m carrying. This ain’t that person," the rapper continued. "[It also helped me] to be able to say the things that I really want and communicate those things; and also to be able to take a situation where I’m stressed about something and not make it about them. They might not even be doing anything wrong, but you can take the stresses of your day and put that on the relationship."

Despite the commitment to inner work and the transformation it helped him undergo, he and Rye didn't make it as a couple. Their end might have lay the groundwork for a new beginning for him with Haddish. Rumors initially sparked in the weeks that followed his split from Rye and the two started being seen together more and more. Although they weren't technically PDA moments, Haddish and Common did appear to be rather "close" as they attended event after event together.

In a recent Instagram post, Haddish took to her account to post a photo of her with Common at what appeared to be a paint and sip class. In the photo, they were standing side-by-side with their art pieces in hand and big smiles adorning their faces. The Groupon ambassador wished her "friend" a happy birthday. In the caption, she wrote, "Happy Birthday to My Friend @common !!! I Love that you are willing to go on @groupon adventures with me. #paintandpour plus food."

The post garnered many celebratory comments from admirers and celebs alike. One of the many adoring comments came from our favorite celebrity mom (she gave us Beyonce and Solange, how could she not be our favorite?), Tina Knowles. Her comment read, "Beautiful couple."

It proved to be the two words fans needed to think the speculation surrounding Common and Haddish could be put to rest and that their relationship is confirmed. Back in December, Haddish tried to lay rumors to rest by insisting that they are friends. But, recently, in the wake of the current global pandemic, a fan spotted the two flying together.

So are Haddish and Common dating? We can cross our fingers in the meantime in-between time as we wait for confirmation.
