Though Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk are no longer a couple, the exes are reportedly beyond devoted to their two year-old daughter, Leah, as they navigate the often complicated waters of co-parenting. The actor and the model split ways a couple in 2019, but have chosen to maintain an amicable and healthy relationship for their adorable daughter. The exes were recently spotted even having lunch with one another and their daughter at Pier59 Studios, where Shayk was shooting for Victoria Secret.
An insider at “HollywoodLife” gave some info as to how the exes are managing their busy schedules as they co-parent Leah.
“He’s the best dad, he’s so bonded with Lea and shares all the duties equally with Irina,” the source, who is very close to the former couple, explained. “There’s no ego involved, he puts his daughter’s needs first and fortunately Irina does the same, that’s why it works so well.” Though rumors of a romance between Cooper and co-star, Lady Gaga, swirled during their split, the pair has seemingly remained quite cordial.
“There are still challenges because he does have a very busy schedule and she’s back at work now so there are times they have to compromise, and they do,” the insider continued. “He’s been making an effort to take projects that aren’t too far from New York so he can be there to share custody, he’s very committed. And so protective, if it were up to him he’d carry her everywhere. He’s totally devoted to Lea, it’s really sweet to see how much he loves being a dad.”
About a week ago, another source that claims to be close to Shayk and Cooper also gave some insight on the pairs parenting tactics to “E!News”, claiming, “They are working out how to be single parents and co-parent their daughter together. They both have been working and traveling a lot so there is always scheduling to figure out. They have a good system in place for Lea and they take turns with her…They also come together as a family and do things when they can. They communicate a lot and are good friends.”
The insider at “E!News” also mentioned that the priority of the famous exes is undoubtably their daughter, Leah. “They both love their daughter more than anything and they come together for her,” the source added. “They are getting along well and everything is very positive. It’s still a transition period and they are trying to figure out how it’s going to work going forward, but they are in a good place.” While co-parenting can be a difficult world to navigate, Cooper and Shayk seem to be exceeding expectation.
