Kaley Cuoco has revealed a rather painful-sounding process she voluntarily puts her body through, and she does it on a daily basis. The 34-year-old actress’ reveal came as she spoke to Us Weekly amid the news that she’s the new face of Starbucks – the “Big Bang Theory” actress was recently unveiled as fronting the coffee giant’s Blonde Sunrise Blend campaign.
If you aren’t up-to-date on just how perfect Kaley is for a coffee campaign, it all links up to her “A Cup of Cuoco” Instagram series. The impromptu videos showing Kaley enjoying her first cup of the day show her for the coffee fiend that she is.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Kaley revealed what her morning caffeine fix means to her.
“I love coffee in general, I go to bed at night just thinking of what my cup will be like in the morning, what mug I will choose, how the frothed milk will make me feel,” she said.
“The first thing I do I wake up in the morning is I turn it on. I like the smell. I like the whole process. It’s just part of my routine. I can’t even think of a morning where I haven’t had a cup or where I’ve missed it. I don’t forget to have a cup,” the blonde added.
“I’m a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur. I love all things coffee,” Cuoco also stated, then dishing the secret to what she feels makes her morning cup just perfect.
“It has to burn my esophagus,” she continued. “And I froth the milk and I’m very pleased.”
Kaley’s Instagram series has yet to see her without her coffee. The star gets pretty creative with the cup – a bunny one has featured recently, although if the stuff inside isn’t decent, she will lose her nut. This seemed pretty evident with the “instant coffee nightmare” back in Rome earlier this year.
Kaley debuted the news of her ambassador status with the Seattle-based chain earlier this month. The makeup-free photo came complete with Kaley’s trademark nightgown wardrobe as she posed with a cup and some Starbucks-packaged coffee near her.
“Feeling positive even after losing an hour of sleep! And ready for my @Starbucks Blonde Sunrise Blend coffee at home.. these blends will definitely brighten up your spring mornings! They are delightful and everyone knows that I know coffee! #StarbucksSunrise #ad also it’s #internationalwomensday and let me remind you, we can do ANYTHING,” she wrote.
Kaley’s post abided by Instagram’s required #ad. As to how much the actress may have earned from it, it’s likely all down to following – the higher the fanbase, the higher the pay. Vox broke down the potential figures, although these are just estimates.
“Influencers with up to 1 million followers can get $10,000 [per post], depending on the platform, and 1 million followers and up, you’re getting into territory where they can charge $100,000. Some can even get $250,000 for a post! Especially if the content is on Youtube and the influencer is in the gaming industry.”
Kaley has 5.8 million Instagram followers.
