Accusing anyone no matter who they are or what they do, of being a racist is incredibly serious. There needs to be a revolution in how people go about recognizing truly racist beliefs over ignorant statements. Now, is there such a thing as microaggressions? Sure, there definitely is but to equate those to complete unadulterated racist creedences is quite unfair. What actress Florence Pugh did might have felt slightly offensive, but to scream racism is unfair, and unjust to actual cases of it.

Here is a little peek into what Florence’s life is like and what kind of woman she is. Born in the United Kingdom Pugh has always had a reputation for being a talented person. Her perfecting of accents and great acting skills have been the two elements that have solidified her ever growing career, all at the young age of 24. She was also more recently in the cult classic “Little Women”, and the thriller/horror “Midsommar”. Although she is very secretive when it comes to her private relationships which is smart, it has been let out to the media that Florence is in a relationship with significantly older American actor Zach Braff.

To see Florence Pugh’s name tied to racism is shocking. Her entire aura throughout interviews is that of a respectful, confident, and accepting person. She doesn't carry that stigma that most Hollywood stars do of being crude, or cocky. This is why before people jump on the cancel train they should understand and evaluate all information tied to the accusation. Florence from all previous accounts doesn't have a prior history connected to perpetuating such insidious behavior, so why is the public so quick to tear her down?

Here is what’s rumored to have gone down between Pugh and this uber driver. Basically, Florence was kicked out of the car by the driver and left on the side of some main road. She went on to post an Instagram story about the situation which is always a bad choice, and people went on to react. The main issue all revolved around language. She didn't understand what the driver was saying and so that's what she expressed on Instagram.

How anyone has found this miscommunication which is fairly common to be “racist” is incomprehensible. It is not like Florence tied this problem to the person's ethnicity or culture, she just simply did not understand what the driver was saying. Cancel culture thankfully has been falling off slowly but surely, but we still have remnants. Some “proof” people have used to validate this assumption on behalf of Florence are photos she posted a while ago of her wearing henna tattoos, and braids.
