Christina Hall is refusing to take the high road in the custody battle with her ex-husband Ant Anstead!
Earlier this week, Anstead filed a complaint in their ongoing legal battle for custody of their three-year-old son Hudson London, accusing his ex-wife of "exploiting" their little boy.
According to the car enthusiast, Hall took advantage of Hudson by making him appear in sponsored social media posts. Now, the former "Flip or Flop" star has fired back at her ex through a declaration.
Christina Hall Claps Back At Ant Anstead's Claims She Is Exploiting Hudson
In the declaration obtained by Us Weekly, Hall expressed shock after she read "the Supplemental Declaration of Anthony' Ant' Anstead." Her surprise came from Anstead's continuous need to "make false allegations against me." The 39-year-old stated:
"The allegation that I am 'exploiting' our son is truly offensive and simply untrue. After seeing what Ant has written in his Supplemental Declaration it is clear that his motivation is not Hudson's best interest."
Denying Anstead's allegations about her bond with their son, Hall wrote that she has "never exploited our son Hudson," except for his appearance "in a few of my Instagram ads," which took less than five minutes to film.
The mom-of-three claimed that she had "all the footage, and they were all fun activities that he enjoyed doing, such as playing with toys or making cookies. These were organic moments in Hudson's eyes. Nothing was forced, and they were filmed with a cell phone, not a production team."
After noting that Hudson had not appeared in any of her paid social media content since April, Hall claimed that it was her English ex who wanted to exploit their child. The "Christina on the Coast" star said:
"Anyone experienced in social media will recognize Ant's pattern of posting our son using a product and tagging the product manufacturer as 'fishing' for endorsements. Ant is not currently on television and puts a lot of effort into Instagram since that is his only platform."
Hall alleged that Anstead opted to "tarnish my good name with knowingly false allegations," It was not until she debunked his accusations that he agreed to settle the matter privately.
As stated above, the California native's declaration came in response to legal paperwork filed by Anstead on Monday, September 26. Per a previous report from The Blast, the documents from the "Wheeler Dealers" host expressed his concerns about his ex-wife using their son for paid content and social media posts. The 43-year-old claimed that:
"Christina has already exploited Hudson in numerous paid promotions on social media. I fear she also has footage of him, to be used in one of her 'reality' TV shows, without my knowledge or consent, and continues to film him despite my objections."
He also expressed his reservations about Hudson getting "exploited" as a "spokesperson, ambassador" or "model" for "any products or social media campaigns."
Anstead contended that Hudson's right to make these decisions for "himself in the future" should be preserved. The father-of-three escalated things even further by noting the struggles and challenges of being a child star in Hollywood. In his words:
"Putting aside the obvious pressures of working within a TV production environment, children involved in television production often have lingering issues that affect their welfare, worldview, and self-image, leaving them diminished and dependent upon the perceived approval of others for their self-worth."
With all that in mind, the "For the Love of Cars" presenter has become laser-focused on ensuring that Hudson has "a childhood that is joyful, healthy, and natural, with as few stresses as possible." Anstead also intends to ensure that Hall has kept all monies their son has already earned from paid content for his future.
Hall Focuses On Loving Her Kids Amid Custody Battle With Anstead
The Blast recently reported that Hall was choosing to soak up the love that her son was giving her. To that end, the real estate investor took to her Instagram Story to post an adorable picture of Hudson wearing a big smile.
The tot wore a gray round neck top, matching shorts, and a pair of sneakers. He appeared to be sitting on a slider as he turned his blonde head to give his mom a look at his side profile. His TV personality mom wrote, "Happy Boy [double pink heart emoji]," across the image.
Just before that, Hall had shared an image of Hudson chilling in a bedroom with his big brother, Brayden — whom she shares with her second ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa. The duo appeared to be having some downtime as Hudson looked sleepily at the camera while his partially clothed big brother was lying in bed with a dog beside him.
Both boys are in separate beds, with Hudson sitting on his much smaller one. The brothers' love for sea animals can be seen in the fish tank between their beds and the shark-themed wallpaper behind them.
While three stuffed toys occupy some space on Brayden's bed, a blue one is on Hudson's. Their doting mom wrote, "Cuties [white heart emoji]," on the photo. Both images have since expired.
