Miley Cyrus is the latest superstar artist to be affected by the coronavirus regarding her concerts. She was originally set to perform in Melbourne, Australia on March 13 at the World Tour Bushfire Relief charity concert in the aftermath of the wildfires that continue to plague the country. Cyrus took to Twitter to say that she won't be in Australia now due to recommendations by local, state, federal and international government authorities, which also includes the Center for Disease Control.

"Australia: Due to the recommendations of local, state, federal and international government authorities, including the Center for Disease Control, to reduce potential health risks in response to the current global health crisis, we are no longer traveling to Aus for the show," said Cyrus on Twitter.

"I am so disappointed to not be there, but I have to do what is right to protect the health and safety of my band and crew. I will still be making a donation to help the victims of the Australian bush fire. I’m sorry to miss everyone in Australia, but I will be back soon."

The benefit concert was originally set to take place at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park. Despite the cancellation, fans are coming up with other ways for Cyrus to help Australia. One of those is to do a Backyards Sessions show. She uploaded this performance on YouTube back in 2012 and fans feel that a donate button could be included for this one to benefit the country.

One Cyrus fan replied to a tweet that the star posted about washing hands with the Backyards Session flyer. She is hoping that Cyrus' team will see it and consider making this happen.

Hopefully, this Backyards Sessions move does happen. Cyrus has seemed very enthusiastic about helping Australia considering everything that their country is going through with these wildfires. If this Sessions does take place, expect a lot of money to be raised due to the popularity of Cyrus.

It's unfortunate that the coronavirus situation is occurring at the time as these fires because many celebrities can't get there now due to various traveling restrictions. A Backyard Sessions benefit performance by Cyrus would definitely be a step in the right direction though in getting the funds that Australia needs.
