Supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne made her comeback in a plunging blazer during her capsule collection part at the Paris Fashion Week. The model was absent earlier this month when her collection with Karl Lagerfeld, the late designer, made its debut at the New York Fashion Week.
Delevingne's absence from the fashion show at the time was in line with some of the actress' worrying behaviors. She was previously spotted at the airport seemingly on a phone call without shoes on before the model got in her waiting vehicle and drove away.
Despite concerns from fans during that period, the "Life in a Year" actress seemed to be in great spirits during her capsule collection party earlier this week. She attended the event in a signature outfit from the fashion line quelling previous reports about her well-being.
Cara Delevingne Attended Her Cara Loves Karl Collection Party
On Tuesday, Delevingne attended her Cara Loves Karl collection party during the Paris Fashion Week. The collection was made in collaboration with the Karl Lagerfeld brand and officially launched on September 8. For the occasion, the 30-year-old wore an oversized blazer which she paired with a Lagerfeld emblazoned black belt across her neck and around her waist. Delevingne also had on a pair of black boots, which were mid-thigh high.
The model had on a similar but different outfit earlier that day which she shared on her Instagram page. In the post, Delevingne had on a more fitted black tuxedo jacket with a belt design across her neck. The outfit, unlike the prior, came with a pair of matching trousers as well as pointed-toe heels.
The actress went without a shirt beneath the blazer, emphasizing the daring neckline of the outfit. The post was simply captioned, "Cara [Hearts] karl."
Cara Delevingne Didn't Attend Her New York Fashion Show
While Delevingne was present in the most recent event for her Lagerfeld collection, the model was notably absent earlier this month during her fashion event at the New York Fashion Week. The event was organized to display the 30-year-old's genderless clothing and accessories collection in collaboration with Lagerfeld.
According to Delevingne, she officially started working on the collection some years back and wanted to move it beyond just unisex attire and evolve to genderless clothes.
After the initial global launch on September 8, the capsule launch took place during the NYFW and had fashion icons and celebrities like Nina Dobrev, Jamie Campbell Bower, Candice Swanepoel, and Becky G in attendance. The 30-year-old's absence from the event was noted and in line with her previous worrying behaviors over the past months.
Her Collection Is Not Limited By Gender Norms
While talking to Vogue a few weeks ago, Delevingne revealed that she wanted her collection not to be restricted by the regular gender norms. The model said, "I've never understood how we can define clothing with a gender. It was important to me that the collection not be just unisex, but genderless."
Delevingne further explained that her reason for deciding on a genderless easy-to-style collection was somewhat personal. The actress recalled moments when she was on the go and "living out of a suitcase" and explained that on several occasions, she liked outfits that could be "worn in different ways."
The model said that she felt like the late designer, Lagerfeld, would be genuinely proud of their collection. She continued, "We've been working on this collaboration for a couple of years. I truly believe [Karl] would be really proud of what we have created and how we have created it — without defining who should wear the pieces, allowing the person to dictate what the fashion really becomes."
Cara Delevingne Said The Collection Was About 'Inclusivity'
Delevingne went on to talk about when she first met Lagerfeld and how the designer amazed her with his "kindness and generosity." She revealed she was 20 years old at the time, and he helped her come to terms with her differences without looking to anyone else for validation.
While talking about her new clothing line to Grazia USA, the 30-year-old revealed that the message she wanted to send out centered on "inclusivity." "It doesn't matter how you identify. There are pieces in this collection for everyone. It's made for everyone," she said.
Delevingne explained that Lagerfeld's "timeless, classic, chic," and simple style with a "twist" inspired the collaboration. Conversation concerning the partnership between the brand and the model started shortly after Lagerfeld passed away.
