Popular rapper Nicki Minaj cries foul after her music video, "Likkle Miss Remix," featuring dancehall artist Skeng, was issued an age restriction by YouTube. In a fit of rage, Minaj took to Instagram to call out the video platform with a screenshot of the violation notice that had been emailed to her.
Expressing her displeasure, she claimed that the restriction was an intentional move to keep her from getting higher views. The singer talked about the preference of the video platform for a "certain record label" and management company, hinting at a conspiracy. While the video had raked in quite a number of views on the first day, Minaj was still displeased by the restriction.

Nicki Minaj's Music Video Not 'Suitable for Younger Audiences'
Following the release of Minaj's "Likkle Miss Remix" music video featuring Skeng, YouTube issued a violation notice restricting the video from being accessed by viewers below age 18. This restriction did not sit well with the 39-year-old singer as she took to Instagram on Monday to call out the video platform.
Per New York Post, Minaj was informed by the YouTube violation notice that her content had been reviewed and adjudged as not "suitable for younger audiences." The notice further stated that the content would not be visible to users below the age of 18, logged out, and those who operate in Restricted Mode.
Nicki Minaj Calles Out 'BOGUS' YouTube
In response to the notice, the rapper hasn't been silent. Minaj wrote that while her video is restricted, there are "things a million f*cking times worse on their BOGUS FKING PLATFORM." She captioned this under a screenshot of the YouTube community guidelines violation notice, which she posted on her Instagram page. She has, however, since deleted the Instagram post.

She went on to state that they do this "to keep you from winning" and at the same time run ads for other people and post "FAKE FKING STATS."
In a subsequent post, which she also deleted, Minaj wrote that the restriction on her video was a target to stop her video from getting "a lot of views in the first 24 hours." She believes the restriction is a deliberate move to prevent her from getting higher views on her video. She further said that people are allowed to use her videos to "promote weak sh*t," but she can't purchase promotions for her videos.
She Claims YouTube Is In Collusion With 'A Certain Record Label'
In both of her deleted Instagram posts, Minaj hints at a conspiracy by discussing the preference of a particular record label and management company. She first wrote that the YouTube platform was "in bed with a certain record label and mngmnt [sic] company."
Attaching the same screenshot as she did in her first post, the singer tagged YouTube's official Instagram account in her second post and wrote (per NYP) that it's about time that the YouTube management told people that they are "in bed with a whole record label and mngmnt company!!!" Expatiating on her earlier post on fake stats and ads, she questions how long they have been playing with the numbers to deceive and profess that people are doing better "when they r not?!?!!"
In the same post, she also questioned the "ad space" purchase that has allowed people to "be promoted on my channel in the last 5 years?!??!!!!"
Nicki Minaj Says Her First 24 Hours Are Lost Due To The Age Restriction
Minaj released "Queen Radio: Volume 1" in August, which was a 28-track compilation of hits, including her remix of Skeng's "Likkle Miss." The music video premiered on Sunday.
While the Trinidadian rapper had expressed her immense displeasure at the age restriction, the video garnered about 800,000 views within the first 24 hours. According to Gizmodo, YouTube commented that the age restriction had been removed after it was decided that "the video didn't violate our Community Guidelines."

However, this makes no difference to Minaj, as she wrote on Twitter, "F*ck them duds. They cant give us back our first 24 hours can they?!?!!! So mission accomplished."
She is still dissatisfied with the number of views within the 24-hour time frame and was even more displeased at YouTube backtracking and removing the age restriction following her complaint.
