Jamie Lee Curtis Faces Michael Myers One Last Time In Final Trailer For 'Halloween Ends'

Jamie Lee Curtis will return to play Laurie Strode one last time in the climactic "Halloween Ends."Universal Pictures released the appropriate final trailer for the upcoming sequel, featuring an early sneak peek at Laurie Strode's last stand.

Jamie Lee Curtis Gets Her Last Hurrah In "Halloween Ends"
"Halloween Ends" marks the epic conclusion for the "Halloween" movie trilogy that began in 2018. Directed by David Gordon Green, the new film only acknowledges the classic 1978 original film directed by John Carpenter, in which Laurie Strode is once again forced to confront Michael Myers who continues his rampage across Haddonfield, Illinois.
The 1978 film defined Curtis' Strode as the "final girl" of the horror genre and also launched her film career. In 2018, she returned to the iconic role and franchise for the latest cinematic reboot.
Since the new trilogy began, it's been a box office smash. 2018's "Halloween" brought in $159 million domestically and $255 million at the worldwide box office. 2021's "Halloween Kills," despite having a day and day release in theaters and streaming on Peacock, still managed to make $92 million at the domestic box office and $131 million worldwide. The film's original 2020 release was delayed due to the ongoing global pandemic.
"Halloween Ends" continues the story four years after the end of the events of "Halloween Kills." Laurie Strode now lives with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Myers has not been seen since the events of "Kills."
Having been haunted by the specter of Michael Myers' horror for decades, Laurie has attempted to move on with her life. However, when a young man named Corey Cunnigham (Rohan Campbell) is accused of killing a young boy he was babysitting, it starts an avalanche of terror that will once again force Laurie to confront the evil she has struggled for years to move away from.
The new footage definitely appears unsettling. Laurie looks prepared and ready to sacrifice herself once and for all if it will finally put a stop to Michael Myers' terror and his latest killing spree.
The Franchise Is Still Going Strong Over 40 Years Later
It is interesting to see that the new sequel and conclusion to the new trilogy will be released 44 years after the iconic original film from visionary director Carpenter. The franchise has gone through many installments, starts, and stops over the years, but it managed to withstand the test of time, and still manages to capture the imagination of moviegoers, just in time for the Halloween season.
"Halloween Ends" also stars Will Patton, who once again returns as Officer Frank Hawkins, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, and James Jude Courtney once again as Michael Myers, aka The Shape. The film is once again directed by Green from a script by Green, Chris Bernier, Paul Brad Logan, and Danny McBride.
"Halloween Ends" opens in theaters on October 14.
