Billie Eilish is receiving global support following an unexpected strip-down during a video interlude in Miami last night. The 18-year-old "bad guy" singer appeared at the American Airlines Arena in the Florida city as part of her "Where Do We Go" world tour – footage of the rising sensation stripping down to her bra proved a headline-maker from the get-go on account of Billie's reputation for covering up.

Billie's video was out to do more than just flash the flesh, though. The body-shaming message accompanying it was raw and powerful – much like Eilish herself.

Billie's performance saw her dressed in her standard baggy clothing. The star wore her trademark green color, opting for a designer finish as she rocked a Gucci shorts and t-shirt set in glossy fabrics.

Fans aren't losing it over the designer goods, though. Billie's video showed her stripping down to her underwear in a slow manner as she said:

"You have opinions, about my opinions, about my music, about my clothes, about my body. Some people hate what I wear, some people praise it, some people use it to shame others, some people use it to shame me, but I feel you watching, always."

Billie continued:

"The body I was born with, is it not what you wanted? If I wear what is comfortable, I am not a woman. If I shed the layers, I'm a sl*t. Though you’ve never seen my body, you still judge it and judge me for it. Why? We make assumptions about people based on their size. We decide who they are. We decide what they’re worth. If I wear more. If I wear less. Who decides what that makes me? What that means? Is my value-based only on your perception? Or is your opinion of me not my responsibility?"

The video proved viral in no time, quickly making The Daily Mail's headlines – viewers to the British newspaper's report have been leaving thoughts.

Over 1,000 users upvoted the following reply:

"Before you all comment, remember she's a young girl living her best life and is very happy doing what she does. She's talented and doesn't need abuse."

"She is super talented and the headline refers to her showing skin?? No wonder young girls have anxiety with all the women shaming that goes on," another said.

Comments continued:

"This girl is super talented, with and amazing voice. Its a shame that she is so self conscious, no need to be with that beautiful face," one user stated.

Billie has opened up about just why her wardrobe is so rarely revealing, although the star did mark turning 18 in January by taking a swimsuit shower on Instagram.

The Grammy winner spoke in a recent Calvin Klein ad, revealing her inner thoughts.

"I never want the world to know everything about me. I mean, that’s why I wear big, baggy clothes. Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath, you know?" she said, adding:

"Nobody can be like, "Oh, she’s slim-thick, she’s not slim-thick, she’s got a flat -ss, she’s got a fat -ss." No one can say any of that, because they don’t know."
