A year ago today, I was in LA, waiting to fulfill a dream. The year since has been full of good days, but by far the best one was May 9th, when Genevieve and I got married. Without her, none of the other good days would have happened. I’m so lucky to share my life with her!👰♀️❤️👰♀️ pic.twitter.com/6zG1OpbBZV

In a social media post shared on both Instagram and Twitter on Tuesday night, Amy revealed that she and Genevieve tied the knot in May, but are planning a much more lavish affair next summer.
"A year ago today, I was in LA, waiting to fulfill a dream," Amy began, referring to her record-breaking run on "Jeopardy!".
"The year since has been full of good days, but by far the best one was May 9th, when Genevieve and I got married," she revealed. "Without her, none of the other good days would have happened. I’m so lucky to share my life with her!"
In a separate Instagram post, she shared the same three photos but with a longer message.
“Genevieve and I are delighted to announce that on Monday, May 9, we were married in a small private ceremony at the Alameda County Recorder,” she began. “We will still be having a traditional wedding & reception next summer, but our lives have been much too busy this year to get very far in planning it, and we couldn't wait that long to proclaim our love and commitment to each other.”
“Thank you, everyone for your support!” she concluded. The official “Jeopardy!” account was one of the first to wish the happy couple their congratulations, simply writing, “Love it!”

In a March 2022 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Amy, 42, and Genevieve, 25, reflected on their engagement and their future together.
Amy told the outlet that “we both felt – from pretty early in our relationship – that this is where it was headed, but I was so surprised by it.”
“I’d known for a while that it was going to happen, so it’s kind of just a formality, in a sense,” she added. “But being actually engaged was such a good feeling, and I was surprised by that.”
The couple first met in July 2020 during a small friendly gathering. At the time, Amy’s friend had been dating Genevieve’s brother, who unexpectedly brought his sister along to visit their apartment. Amy gave Genevieve a tarot reading and then offered to let her spend the night on her couch.
“My first impression was … she’s very thoughtful and calm and very smart,” Genevieve said of Amy.
Amy replied, “I think my first impression was that you were really cute.”
Genevieve revealed that Amy "freaked out" when she proposed to her on Tuesday, February 8, after previously hinting that she was going to pop the question on either Valentine’s Day or the couple’s one-year relationship anniversary on February 20th.
“Everything about it was perfect,” Amy told the outlet. “Then we had ... balloons hanging around our apartment for a while, but, you know.” A week later, Amy planned her own proposal for Genevieve at Sonoma, their favorite romantic dinner spot.
“But then I didn’t do it right at the beginning, and then it was getting towards the end, and I felt like I’d eaten too much,” Schneider recalled. “My stomach wasn’t feeling great, and ... it didn’t feel like the right moment. Then we were back at the Airbnb and hanging out and talking and eating some edibles or whatever, and ... I just suddenly impulsively decided, ‘Well, now’s the time.’”
