With so many ongoing cases of coronavirus around the United States, it is becoming clear that people are growing afraid of the illness. These fears are prompting many Americans to stock up on items like face masks, cleaning products, and hand sanitizer. Many people are struggling to find items they need because some stores are sold out of essentials.
We know one person who has already stocked up on supplies to square off against coronavirus: former Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham.
Recently, Abraham took to Instagram to showcase her and daughter Sophia’s shopping trip to Target. At the store, the former reality TV celebrity made a video demonstrating the family’s coronavirus prep. Abraham is filmed stocking up on disinfectant, pain reliever, gloves, and Lysol cleaning spray. Abraham feigns distress as she grabs the last of the items from the shelves, putting on a tongue-in-cheek show about the fact that she did not get enough Lysol cleaner for her home. While some found the video humorous, many others found it terrible.
Many of Abraham’s followers did not appreciate the sarcastic tone she took in her video, as she snidely filmed the food she stocked up on in case she was stuck inside her house. A lot of people were more appalled when Abraham also got her 11-year-old daughter involved in posting about coronavirus on social media.
With coronavirus, or COVID-19, on the rise, many people found it disgusting the Abraham would make light of the illness. One follower commented that the video was in especially bad taste because thousands of people around the world have died from it.
Others have speculated that this is something Abraham is doing to stay relevant. She was fired from Teen Mom, which is returning for another season in the coming weeks. With Abraham no longer on the show, could she be trying to remain in the spotlight as her former co-workers appear on TV once again?
Also this week, Abraham broke up with her boyfriend of several months, Daniel Ishag. According to Abraham’s mother, Ishag was too “immature” for the relationship. Some followers have expressed skepticism about this.
All of this comes on the heels of Abraham responding to a Tweet by President Donald Trump about the virus. She has posted, “Thanks Trump for saving our lives unlike the Democrats who want to be killed I guess by China — all Democrats go live in China and die.” Many fans found this behavior to be bizarre, but not necessarily out of character.
Since this Tweet and her breakup, Abraham’s Twitter has been made private. Some followers have speculated about Abraham’s wellbeing recently. In the meantime, Abraham’s social media posts lend a lot of insight into her world.
