Singer Wynonna Judd believes the show must go on, even without her mother, Naomi Judd, there to support her.

Earlier this year, the "Love Can Build a Bridge" singer took her own life after being candid about her struggle with depression for years. The news shocked and saddened the country music community, and especially her daughters, Wynonna and Ashley Judd.

Wynonna and Naomi made up the country music duo known as The Judds and were supposed to go on a final reunion tour later this year. Wynonna made the difficult decision to continue the tour, even without her late mother.

Wynonna Judd Will Continue The Judds Tour 'To Help Someone Feel Better'

In a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Wynonna told correspondent Lee Cowan about how she felt compelled to continue the tour to honor her late mother.

“I think it’s important to do it if that makes sense. I feel like I have my marching orders,” she said during the seven-minute interview. “I want to come out on stage and sing from my toenails a song that helps someone out in that audience. It’s about me singing to help someone feel better. That’s always in my spirit.”

Only one month after she passed, at a CMT special honoring her late mother, Wynonna first announced that the tour would go on as scheduled because she felt it was what her mother would want.

"The show must go on, as hard as it may be, and we will show up together, and you will carry me as you've carried me for 38 years," she said at the time. "That's what she would want, right?"

Although the family has different ways of dealing with the loss of Naomi Judd, Wynonna said that they have all leaned on each other for support during this difficult time.

“We both kind of look at each other, like, ‘I’ve got you,’ right? And we look at each other and we say, ‘Yeah,’” she said, adding that she and Ashley mourn in "different" ways.

“Every family member can agree with me on this one,” she said, adding, “We’re all very different in this family.”

Wynonna also discussed the different memories that are surfacing the more she tries to remember her mother. “Sometimes I laugh and sometimes I say, ‘I really miss you. Why aren’t you here so we can argue?’” Wynonna recalled. “She told me one time, she took my hand and she said, ‘My life is better because of you.’ Those are the memories that are starting to come through more and more.

In another interview with PEOPLE magazine, Wynonna said that she feels like a "walking contradiction" when she tries to reflect on the loss of her mother.

"I'll tell you what I know about death. In death, there is life. I feel both at the same time simultaneously," she said. "I feel joy and sorrow. I'm walking in paradox. I'm literally a walking contradiction. I feel joy. I feel pain. I feel light. I feel dark."

"I'm on the phone talking and all of a sudden I'll just begin to weep. Then 10 minutes later, I'm making dinner and I'm talking to my husband about our date night," she admitted. "Then my granddaughter comes and I cry some more. I cry a lot."

However, she said that all of her tears are not "a sign of weakness" and assured her followers that it's "okay" to cry over the loss of a loved one. "When you lose someone you love, it's like, 'Holy crap, this is really happening. Is this really happening?' Your brain goes, 'No, this isn't really happening,'" she said. "Then you go home and I realize, yeah, my mom's not here anymore."
