Actress Gwyneth Paltrow recently expressed her emotions about her daughter, Apple Martin, going off to college. The actress, who turns 50 later this week, shared that the experience is as profound as giving birth to a child.

Sparing details about her daughter's institution, Paltrow shared that she and ex-husband Chris Martin have done their best to keep their kids "unscathed" by their divorce. The pair were married for 13 years but finalized their divorce in 2016.

Apple recently made the headlines for hosting a rowdy party at her mother's sprawling residence. She also recently celebrated her 18th birthday milestone.

in an interview with "CBS Sunday Morning," Paltrow spoke about her personal life and career ahead of her 50th birthday on Tuesday.

Host Tracy Smith asked Paltrow how she felt about her daughter Apple, 18, leaving for college. In response, the 49-year-old appeared to admit that although she knew this would happen eventually, it nevertheless came with a rush of emotions.

"I know this sounds nuts, [but] it feels almost as profound as giving birth," the actress, 49, said on the show, per Page Six.

On the show, Paltrow did not reveal Apple's school nor the course she was studying, choosing to spare her daughter the media attention that would come with such a revelation. She also did not share if a celebration was held to mark the milestone.

The Goop founder shares Apple with her ex-husband and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The pair are also parents to 16-year-old son Moses.

Paltrow and Martin were a couple for 13 years, during which they made the headlines for "consciously uncoupling" in 2014, ahead of their official divorce in 2016.

Despite the shocking way their relationship unraveled, the actress shared that the pair still had much of a good relationship.

"He's completely my family, and I love him," she told her host on the show. "And he would do anything for me. I would do anything for him.

Paltrow went on to say that their commitment to each other extended to their two kids. She shared they have tried to ensure their kids did not feel the brunt of their divorce.

She added: [Martin] would do anything for our kids. We really did commit to wanting our children to be as unscathed by the divorce as possible."

Apple Martin Recently Got In Some Trouble

While Paltrow claimed that she and Martin had done their best in co-parenting their kids, that has not stopped her daughter from showing off the wild side of teenhood.

Per Page Six, Apple made the headlines last month for hosting a rancorous party at her mom's estate massive estate in Amagansett. The publication reported that the teenager invited at least fifty of her friends to the party.

"Apple invited too many friends to her mom's house, and things got out of hand," the source disclosed.

Per the source, the police authorities were called to shut down the party when the neighbors got tired of the overwhelming noise they were making.

"They were partying like rock stars and making so much noise that multiple neighbors were furious and called the police, who shut the party down," the source added.

Gwyneth Paltrow Celebrated Her Daughter's Birthday

Whether or not Paltrow was in agreement with the party was not known at the time. Prior to the incident, the mother-of-two took to Instagram to celebrate Apple attaining her 18th birthday milestone in May.

"18. I'm at a bit of a loss for words this morning. I could not be more proud of the woman you are. You are everything I could have dreamed of and so much more," the actress captioned a photo of her daughter, per People. "Proud doesn't cover it, my heart swells with feelings I can't put into words. You are deeply extraordinary in every way."

She added, "Happy birthday, my darling girl. I hope you know how special you are and how much light you have brought to all who are lucky enough to know you. Especially me. I say it all the time, and I will never stop… in the words of auntie Drew, I was born the day you were born. I love you. Mama."
