Catherine Zeta-Jones & Michael Douglas Celebrate Joint Birthdays 25 Years Running

Only a few people are lucky enough to share the same birth date with their soul mates, and Catherine Zeta-Jones & Michael Douglas are among the special ones.

The Welsh actress and her Hollywood legendary husband recently celebrated their joint birthdays in style. The famous couple both took to their Instagram accounts to publicly wish one another a happy birthday with sweet messages.

Having been married for over 21 years, the pair were both born on September 25, although the actor was born in 1944 while the "Chicago" actress was born in 1969.

The "Mask Of Zorro" actress took to her Instagram on Sunday to celebrate herself and her husband as they both turned 53 and 78 years old, respectively.

The star shared two selfies of herself and her hubby smiling and staring at the camera. In the first frame, Zeta-Jones looked elegant in a black and white spotted dress, pairing the look with smokey eye makeup, while the "Traffic" actor donned a navy blue suit on a white shirt which was paired with a grey tie.

Captioning the picture, she wrote, "It's our birthday!! After 24 years of celebrating our special day together, I still look forward to it [laughing emoji and face throwing a kiss emoji] I love you!!! a la voter!!!!!!!

Also acknowledging his wife's special day, "The Wall Street" actor posted a throwback picture on Instagram, showing the pair embracing each other near the Taj Mahal wearing white outfits. "Happy Birthday Catherine! I love you always & forever [heart emoji] @catherinezetajones", he wrote. 

Reacting to the post, the happy wife wrote, "Happy Birthday, darling. So happy to share this day with you. Love you.[cake, confetti, and heart emoji].

In a subsequent commemorative post, the "Entrapment" actress shared an Instagram reel wearing a white sweater, black hat, and large shades while in a helicopter. She appeared to be in good spirits as she chanted, "It's our birthday! Happy Birthday, Honey! Happy Birthday, me! Happy Birthday, you!" 

She turned the camera to her partner, who was sitting next to her. He, in turn, waved at the camera and wished her a happy birthday too. From the looks of things, they seemed to be heading out to celebrate their day. She wrote, "All smiles as we start our birthdays!!! Let the games begin!!!!!![cake and confetti emojis].

Going back to their humble beginnings, the longtime lovebirds first met at Deauville Film Festival in France in August 1998 following an introduction made by mutual friends.

Per reports, the "Basic Instinct" actor recalled during an appearance on "The Jonathan Ross" Show in 2016, where he told the actress, "You know I'm going to be the father of your children" 30 minutes after meeting her.

This pickup line didn't sit well with the actress, as she told him off. In atoning for his wrongs, he sent her flowers and an apology, which finally seemed to work. In November 1998, Douglas confirmed that he and Zeta-Jones were expecting their first child.

In the following year, the "Last Vegas" actor proposed to "The Rebound" actress at his home in Aspen on New Year's Eve. The stars then proceeded to welcome their first child, Dylan, in August 2000 and then tied the knot in November of the same year.

One month after tying the knot, the pair decided to skip their honeymoon to spend time with their then 4-month-old son. The year 2000 appeared to be a good one, as their movie "Traffic" hit theaters in December of that year and won several awards.

The couple gave birth to their second child, Carys, in April 2003. All seemed to be going well till the duo announced their separation in August 2013 after 13 years of marriage. However, they reconciled in 2014 after repairing their issues and have been loving on each other ever since.

The lovebirds' joint birthday comes a month after Zeta-Jones showcased herself and her family's dance skills on Instagram.

Per The Blast, the video showed the mom-of-two and her agile husband, Douglas, effortlessly moving to the beat and having fun with their children, Dylan, 21, and Carys, 19. They were dancing on a checkered floor with piano music playing in the background.

While "The Ocean Twelve" star danced zealously with her son, the 78-year-old actor and his daughter gave a rather skilled session as he twirled her round and round on the dance floor.
