Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen‘s relationship doesn’t seem to be looking up, and Sunday’s game was somewhat a confirmation.
On September 25, Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers had their first home game of the 23rd season, and it was believed that Bündchen would put behind their troubles to celebrate her man at such a monumental match.
However, that was far from the case.
Gisele Bündchen Doesn’t Attend Tom Brady’s First Home Game
On Sunday, the Buccaneers took on Green Bay Packers at the Raymond James Stadium in a heated game that saw them lose 12-14, and per reports, Bündchen wasn’t present at the game.
A source explained to People Magazine why the model was absent, saying, “Gisele continues to be dedicated to her kids and is working on personal projects.” However, the renowned quarterback wasn’t left without support as all his three kids were in the stadium.
He and Bündchen’s two kids, son Benjamin, 12, and daughter Vivian, 9, as well his eldest son John Edward — from his relationship with ex Bridget Moynahan — were around for his big game.
Before going out to play, the 45-year-old was seen spending some time with his children. While dressed in his jersey, Brady hugged his kids on the sideline, planting a kiss on his daughter’s forehead before heading to the field.
The kids were brought to the game by his mother and sisters. Also, during his pre-game warm-up, the seven-time Super Bowl champion rocked a shirt with his high school picture printed on it with the words, “Greatness lasts forever.”
A former source revealed to the publication that despite claims that Brady isn’t more present with his family, the star athlete tries his best to be there when he is away from the field. The insider claimed,
“No other husband gets six months off a year to be totally devoted to just their family. And during the season, yes, he travels for games and trains, but he’s with his family a lot too.”

The news of Bündchen’s absence at her husband’s first home game site raises eyebrows. Last week, before the big game, a source claimed that Brady was hopeful that the “Devil Wears Prada” star would be in attendance.
The insider noted, “Gisele mostly only attends home games. Tom and his team are hopeful she will be back in the family box with their kids for the Packers game this Sunday.”
The source hinted that the seemingly estranged lovers were reaching a sort of middle ground, saying, “Gisele has left Tom in the past during arguments but always returned once things cooled down. They are talking, but mostly about the kids at the moment. But Tom hopes they will reconcile.”
It comes as no surprise that Brady and the Buccaneers hoped to see Bündchen for the special game, given that she didn’t attend their first game of the season weeks ago.
The Blast reported that preparations weren’t made for the Brazilian model and her kids’ presence at the first game of the season, making things weird.
Brady Seen Practicing On Day Off
Her absence at Sunday’s game comes before Brady was seen practicing on his personal day off. As previously reported, the California native was given veterans treatment for the 23rd NFL season.
Brady was granted every Wednesday off as part of a new policy, and head coach Todd Bowes explained the decision via a statement that read, “For most players, it’s important. But I think when you play in the league, a certain amount of time, and you prepare a certain way, it’s not necessary to practice all the time.”
Brady’s personal day off will be listed on every injury report, and fellow quarterback Blaine Gabbert will be his replacement. However, despite the new policy, he was seen practicing alongside his teammates on September 21.
NFL’s Ian Rapaport revealed that Brady was at practice because he “felt good enough.”
The father-of-three also addressed the scheduled weekly Wednesday off on his “Let’s Go! With Tom Brady” podcast, saying, “The fact that I’ve worked weekends for the last 23 years, I do deserve one day off a week so I think maybe, and I don’t know if it’s Wednesdays, but I get Tuesdays off. That’s probably good enough for me.”
