There is not a day or hour that goes by when a Progressive Insurance commercial is not being played on some television channel somewhere. The same commercial that’s made the dark-haired character Flo a household name for years is now providing the same courtesy to her right-hand-man, Jamie.
Like them or hate them, Progressive’s commercials are quirky 30-second spots that make many viewers chuckle. So just who is the red-haired man who plays Jamie, who started out in his earliest commercial hoping he would earn some sprinkles only to be let down by Flo, “Sprinkles are for winners.”

Jamie is played by actor and writer Jim Cashman who first appeared alongside Flo (Stephanie Courtney) in 2014. While Flo is the obvious spokesperson for the brand, Jamie often steals the show or rather, the commercial. The pair work well together and apart, playing off-beat characters who use sharp wit and interesting concepts to draw in its viewers.
With so many commercial ads, the ability to stand out is almost comparable to competing in combat sports and if you watch the Progressive ads closely, there may be more stars emerging from their sketch-like ads.

Jim Cashman is no stranger to television. The actor’s credits can be traced back to 1999. He’s appeared in projects such as: ‘Just Shoot Me,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ and the 2016 film ‘The Boss.’ The Las Vegas native got his start Los Angeles’ Groundlings Comedy Theatre. For now, he has found a place to showcase his humor with Progressive.
Stephanie Courtney, his partner in comedy has appeared in over 100 Progressive commercials since taken on the role of Flo in 2008.

Starring in television commercials can be a lucrative deal and according to Celebrity Net Worth, Jim Cashman’s approximate net worth is hovering around $2 million. Not bad. While he makes the bulk of money through Progressive commercials, Cashman does not rest his laurels on that alone.
He wrote and co-executive produced the TV movie, ‘Amy’s Brother’ and directed the short ‘Dinner Conversation. Cashman is married to actress Michelle Noh, who also made an appearance on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ three years prior to her husband’s debut.

While you may not be able to pull in the amount of cash the Courtney and Cashman are pocketing, Progressive currently has openings in the Cleveland area for customer sales, service, claims representatives, marketing, legal, multiproduct sales, information technology and business analysis.
These positions are among the 8,000 the Mayfield based company intends to fill in more than 250 locations across the nation. According to Neil Lenane, business leader in talent acquisition, salaries at Progressive start at $15 an hour.
