Jack Perry, who is a professional wrestler signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), is best known by his ring name Jungle Boy and was named Rookie of the Year by Wrestling Observer. Posting the career-changing announcement on his social media, Jack Perry expressed his excitement over the wrestling honor. Luke Perry died unexpectedly on March 4, 2019, after experiencing a stroke.
The 22-year-old star has had a rough year since losing his father on what he once said was “the worst night of my life.” Posting the Rookie of the Year ratings on Instagram Friday, Jungle Boy wrote, “I’m honored to be the Wrestling Observer’s rookie of the year. It’s been a wild one.” While he was clearly ecstatic about the award, he admitted that while he’s “come a long way,” he still has “a long way to go.”
