According to our report from last month, Echard and Evans had been living in Virginia Beach per a report from Us Weekly but made the decision to begin a long-distance relationship and move to different cities.

Echard discussed their decision in an interview with the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast, revealing the couple's decision to keep their relationship grounded in the present.

"We're like, 'we don't know if it's going to be a month-long relationship from here, or if it's going to be a lifetime, but like, there's no pressure. Let's just love each other and be thankful," he began in the interview.

Echard, who had been the subject of frequent commentary during Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia's recently completed season of "The Bachelorette," continued to  elaborate on their decision to "Not Skinny But Not Fat"

"We're very, very happy right now and in a really good spot," he continued, "but yeah, we went through it- together though. Thankfully, she's been on my side and that's why I can sit here with so much positivity is because of her." (via Us Weekly)

Evans And Echard Go Deeper Into Their Decision To Call It Quits

It seems as if Echard and Evans weren't in a "really good spot" for very long.

Earlier this afternoon the former couple gave some insight into their decision to split up on Instagram.

"With incredibly heavy hearts, we wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways," the post begins, "For anyone who has ever loved, knows this was a painful decision to make and not one taken lightly."

The duo acknowledged the inevitable curiosity from Bachelor Nation when their post continued, "We understand that there will likely be a lot of questions about this decision- social media is definitely a highlight reel and much of our experiences together we have kept private as I'm sure most can understand. But we will share this- although this last year together has brought us so much joy and so many laughs, there has also been a significant amount of pain..."

Echard, for his part, has been transparent about some of the pain he faced after his season of "The Bachelor" aired. He later took many screenshots of hateful direct messages he received on social media and turned them into an opportunity for mental health advocacy. (via The Blast)

The Instagram post continues, "We know no healthy relationship comes without its struggles, but we realized we were not prepared for the external forces that hindered our ability to not only let us heal as individuals but also as a couple. We both are focused on continuing to work on ourselves, so we can be the best versions of ourselves. This is not an easy time for either of us, but we stand in support of each other and hope to see the other go on to find happiness and healing. Although Claysie is no more, we hope that our communities can support us individually as we move forward with love and respect for each other."

Several members of Bachelor Nation commented on the former couple's post, including Nick Viall, who wrote, "Wishing you both the best" and also included a heart emoji.

Kaitlyn Bristowe wrote, "Here for you guys," and also left heart emojis.

Former 'Bachelorette' Katie Thurston extended her support by commenting "Supporting you both during what I know is a difficult moment right now."

Evans placed third during Echard's season after self-eliminating. He would later go on to tell Recchia and Windey that he was in love with all three women. Echard's treatment of his top two contestants would go on to be the target of jokes throughout Windey and Recchia's reign as the 'Bachelorettes'.

Echard and Evans poked fun of the frequent mentions via TikTok.
