Actress Kaley Cuoco seems like an easygoing person, at least from what we can tell. But she's regimented in other ways, as many people are. That's OK.
But an unfortunate meeting with a couple of mushrooms, an unpleasant experience she posted in a series of videos in her Instagram story on Saturday night, caused her some backlash from fans.
Cuoco apparently orders the same lunch every day, which happens to be salmon with vegetables. But there should be no mushrooms anywhere in sight.
"Anyone that knows me knows that I hate mushrooms. If I see one, I really lose my appetite," she says in the video.
Well, this time, a couple of those little guys snuck through and appeared in her meal, and Cuoco was not happy about it.
In the video, Cuoco pointed out the rogue mushrooms in her lunch. Cuoco was preparing to dig into her food when she spotted them. She used her fork to pick one up for everyone to see and called out her assistant, Emma, by name, as the person to blame.
In a second video, Cuoco added how the mushroom made contact with the rest of her food. Yikes.
"The salmon looks so beautiful, but that touched it. I don’t know if I can eat this, you guys. I can probably pick around it. There's actually two," she said as she picked around the salmon.
She then provided an update on MushroomGate, saying the offending edible fungus had been eliminated.
"Okay, I picked out the lone mushrooms. I’ve tossed them in a trashcan that’s not in my dressing room, because if they're in my dressing room, I'll know they're here, and I can't. The salmon looks okay. Even though the mushroom touched the salmon, I’m going to eat it, because it looks really beautiful."

"But, um, crisis averted. Emma, I hope you’re enjoying your day off," she says in the video.
If you hear Cuoco in the video, she does not sound friendly. She's clearly upset that Emma made the mistake of letting mushrooms get into Cuoco's dinner.
Cuoco also apparently gave Emma the day off, before the mushroom incident, so it's unclear how the dinner, or the mushrooms, were delivered to Cuoco.
Cuoco adds that she's "extremely nice to the people that I work with." Really? Calling someone out for not doing their job right doesn't quite sound "extremely nice."
@ElKinsino, among others, called out Cuoco for the incident on social media, saying: "I’m not normally one to kick up a fuss about stuff, but as a Post PA, not even a normal personal assistant, I think this is kinda mean. Even if she’s kidding, I mean, this is minor and I don’t see why you need to embarrass your assistant and call her out like that."
But @ShrnThomson thinks Cuoco was just joshing around.
"OMG. Kaley Cuoco was mucking about. Watch her videos & you’ll see it was meant in jest. I despise mushrooms also & if my mate did this I’d call them out too because they know it’s not coming from a nasty place but it’s a joke between us. Kaley has also stated a few times online."
