Chris Pratt and Anna Faris's Son Has Faced Health Issues Since Birth

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are no longer a couple but they both share a son, Jack. During their marriage, he was born two months early. He was premature and it was met with a series of complications that happened.

The time they were in the hospital both Chris and Anna were worried that their son wouldn't be leaving it. However, at age seven, it seems that all the worries were for nothing. It was a scary time but Jack is doing well.

Anna wrote in her memoir about the time her son was in the hospital. “The pediatric neurosurgeon sat Chris and me down to tell us that Jack had some severe brain bleeding and there was a chance that he could be developmentally disabled,” she wrote.

This had to be one of the scariest things to have a doctor tell you. When a baby is that little it comes with a list of worries miles long. For months after the couple didn't know what would happen.

As it turns out Jack is a fighter. His development went how most children's go. He was a little behind but other than that he was thriving. He does have vision impairments and his legs are a little weaker than average but overall Jack is your typical seven year old.

Anna opened up about what her son has gone through on Jimmy Kimmel's show. “Jack had a few surgeries. He had a few hernia surgeries, he’s had a few eye surgeries, and he had a little heart issue as well.”

Anna had nothing but good to say about her ex-husband though. She wrote that "He decorated my room with posters and photos and he came to the hospital every night after work with desserts for me and, sometimes, a six-pack of beer for himself, and he’d just sit with me and hold my hand or crawl into bed,”

It was also what lead them to be involved with Global Alliance to Prevent Prematurity and Stillbirth. They saw their son go through hell and want to help other parents.

While Chris and Anna aren't together Chris is married once more. Plenty of people are curious about how the seven year old is handling this. He is handling it just fine, Chris stated.

Chris says that his wife fills in all the places he isn't able to fill. They fit well and he says that she is amazing with Jack. Something that he was hoping for.

Chris also stated that everything he went through with Jack is what made him reconnect with his faith.
