Brad Pitt Shares His Picks For 'Most Handsome Men' Ever
Pitt just named some of the most prominent faces in Hollywood as his picks of the most handsome men in the world. The actor sat down for an interview with British Vogue on Wednesday, where he talked about his genderless skincare line as well as what pushed him to embark on the business venture.
In the video posted on Instagram, Pitt also listed past and present men he thought were the most good-looking.
The "Fight Club" actor said, "You know in the acting world because it's my day job… the immediate go-to is Paul Newman. Because he aged so gracefully. And by all reports [he was] a really special, giving, warm and truthful human being."
"If I was gonna name someone present, well I gotta name that George Clooney f--ker because why not? Because usually, I'm always taking him out, and he's always taking me out. And this time, I'm gonna go the other way, just this once," the 58-year-old joked.
Brad Pitt Says The 'Hip Hop Guys' Made Starting Business Cool
Further in the interview, Pitt talked about his skincare brand, Le Domaine, and how he was handling the business world. When asked his thoughts on businesses owned by celebrities in general, the actor revealed that famous people who opened their own companies were previously referred to as "sell-outs," however, this was not the case anymore.
Pitt said that the "hip hop guys" changed the game and made it more achievable to venture into other areas. "They made it okay—even cool—to spread your wings a bit, to try some other things. And now it's really exciting that you can, you know, explore other corners [of your creativity] like the old Renaissance artists in a way," he explained.
The "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" actor went on to say that seeing celebrities explore other areas in an attempt to be creative was "exciting." Pitt mentioned and commended his ex-fiancée and good friend, Paltrow, for her efforts in Goop, her lifestyle brand.
Gwyneth Paltrow Influenced His Skincare Line
Pitt named the "Iron Man" actress as one of the people who influenced him to start up his brand. He revealed that he was impressed by her efforts towards Goop and said she was likely the one who made him start taking care of his skin properly.
"I love what Gwyneth [Paltrow] 's done [with Goop]," the 58-year-old said. "She is still a really dear friend, and she has built this empire. She has always had that in her as a curator, and it's been a lovely creative outlet for her. In fact, come to think about it, she was probably the first one who got me to even wash my face twice a day… maybe."
While talking about Le Domaine, Pitt revealed that although it was his brand and he was the driving force behind it, he wasn't necessarily the face of the company. The skincare line was created with the aid of the Perrin family of vintners and used grape-based antioxidants from his wine business, Chateau Miraval.
Why Brad Pitt Created Le Domaine Skin Care
Pitt explained that while he knew full well just how saturated the skincare market was, he simply wanted to bring something different and more effective to the table.
The "Troy" actor said, "I know there are new products nearly every day that people are trying to launch, but if I hadn't seen a real difference visually in my skin, we wouldn't have bothered."
Pitt continued, "I get sent stuff all the time and… ugh. It's just all the same for me. But this last year, we have been testing Le Domaine, and I was really surprised by the results, and that, for me, made it worth going forward."
According to the actor, he had conducted some research with his partners and discovered that most products were "the same." Le Domaine would have reportedly not been produced if the actor had not seen "something original, something that worked" in the product.
