‘A New Adventure’ For Jon And Summer Pardi
In an interview with People, Pardi and his wife Summer excitedly shared their eagerness to welcome the first child of their marriage when its due date arrives in early 2023. The pair started dating in 2016 and tied the know in late 2020 after a few delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic
“I’m ready to start a new adventure with my wonderful wife Summer and our new little one — Pardi of three!” the “Dirt On My Boots” crooner told the publication. “I’m really excited to meet our baby and to have someone to ride around the ranch with.”
On her part, Summer shared with the People that she “felt great” and “equally excited and nervous” about being an expectant mother. The hairstylist added she is eager to see Pardi as a dad after waiting a couple of years to get pregnant.
Regarding the usual stress that comes with being pregnant, Summer shared that she is “a little bit tired, but overall really good” and that she feels “very lucky for that.”
Summer Pardi Calls Parenthood’ The Greatest Gift’
Elsewhere in the interview, Summer shared that their coming baby will only further add more playful energy to Pardi.
“He’s such a big kid at heart, always the life of the party, and has such positive energy, so I can only imagine how much fun this little Pardi addition will be for him and our family,” she gushed. “I know [being parents] is going to be the greatest gift in the world.”
Referencing her pregnancy, Summer disclosed that her pet dogs seemed to be aware that a baby was on the way and had become clingy to her as some form of protection.
“Everyone told us the dogs would be more clingy and protective over me, but they already never leave my side! I can’t even go to the bathroom without them pawing at the door, and all four of them are sitting there waiting for me when I walk out,” the hairdresser added. “It’ll be fun to see how they react to the baby.”
Getting Pregnant Was Not Easy

Recalling specifics about their attempts to have a child, Summer disclosed that she and her husband sought the help of a few physicians to improve their chances but still had no luck for two years after getting married.
“It was definitely an interesting two years of ups and downs — the constant letdown month after month can really be hard on a couple,” she told People.
When the medical visits did not improve the situation, the couple decided to put their anxieties aside and attempt just to enjoy their marriage. As fate would have it, they became pregnant.
She added: “We decided to take a break, leave it in God’s hands and just enjoy each other and this crazy, fun life we live together … and then surprise, we’re pregnant!”
Summer Pardi Blamed Their Futile Attempts On ‘Stress’
The hairstylist went on to explain what she felt might have caused them to shoot blanks for years, revealing that the “stress” and anxiety of eagerly wanting a child might have been the cause.
Summer said, “I think stress has a huge part in it. You hear so many stories like ours of ‘the moment you stop trying, it’ll happen,’ but when you’re in that situation it’s really, really hard to not try or not think about it. It’s just one of those crazy things in life that doesn’t make sense, and there’s no right or wrong answer.”
However, now that their struggles are over, Summer shared that they are enjoying the new changes in their life.
She added. “It’s been so fun to go through all of these new changes together as a first-time experience for the both of us. We are beyond excited and cannot wait to meet our little Pardi babe!”
