Ariana Grande & Rumored Beau Mikey Foster Split Because Of This Reported Reason

While it has been reported that Ariana Grande and rumored boyfriend Mikey Foster have split, one can only scratch their heads and wonder…were they really together in the first place? Ever since Grande’s very public split with comedian and SNL funny-man Pete Davidson, she has been a bit quiet on the dating front. There had been much speculation over the past few months that Grande and Foster were indeed an item after Grande collaborated with the Social House singer for her music video “Boyfriend.”

As reported to US Magazine it was confirmed that Ariana Grande and Mikey Foster are not a thing anymore. The pair was more recently seen arm-in-arm at Disneyland just this past February. But a source has revealed that Grande and the singer said their farewells nearly a month ago. Foster and Grande have reportedly known each other for years, and helped Grande in 2015 when he worked on her EP Christmas & Chill. He also helped her on her more recently tracks “Thank U, Next” and “7 Rings.”

It seemed that when their collaboration came out on the track “Boyfriend” the pair had some real chemistry, as one could witness in the accompanying music video. The music video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, featured Grande acting out her ultimate revenge fantasy on her lover, played by Mikey Foster. While the video remained much more of a comical approach, with Grande shooting a bow-and-arrow in Foster’s direction, or Foster ripping out the heart of a rival beau, the chemistry between the two was palpable.

So, what exactly went wrong between the singers, who had never really confirmed their romance anyway? Those closest to Grande have downplayed the duo’s involvement, except when her brother Frankie, slipped in September 2019 that he had been double dating with the duo. Later on though, Frankie backtracked on his comments altogether. Other than that, the pair were seen only a handful of times out and about, including a Chicago visit, and their more recent Disneyland visit. But it seems that the pair has now gone their separate ways.

After the rumors of a breakup began, Hollywood Life reached out to an “insider” regarding the alleged reason the pair broke up. According to the insider, the relationship very simply ran its course, as it wasn’t very serious to begin with. The insider explained, “Ariana and Mikey were a fling that was fun but it wasn’t ever going to lead into something super serious.” However, other reports noted that the duo broke up when Grande was reportedly spotted kissing another man at a late-night bar stop in San Fernando Valley to which TMZ posted video. While things don’t seem to have worked out for the two, it is reported that they remain friends.
