When it comes to popular Hollywood couples many names come to mind like Kanye and Kim Kardashian West and Jay-Z and Beyonce. They work hard, play hard and have tons of wealth and accomplishments to show for it. Another powerful Hollywood couple is undoubtedly international superstar Jennifer Lopez and legendary former New York Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez (affectionately referred to as J. Lo and A-Rod respectively). The two of them have been part of Hollywood's elite for a long time, and now they're primed for an upcoming wedding.

They are a beautiful couple that's constantly working to keep their finances in order. And it's no secret that separately they both have huge wells of cash to draw from. At this point in her career J. Lo shouldn't have to ever worry about money. Harper's Bazaar reports;

Though her exact net worth isn't exactly disclosed to the public, Forbes reported that in 2019, the star made $43 million. The much-cited Celebrity Net Worth website estimates that her assets ring in at about $400 million.

And as far as A-Rod's finances are concerned he isn't exactly hurting for cash either. Fox Business reports;

Over the course of his 22-year career, Rodriguez amassed a staggering $425 million in estimated earnings, $21 million in signing bonuses, and $4.3 million in incentives, giving him an estimated $480 million in total.

Another thing this power couple has in common, other than endless bank, is their children from previous relationships. J. Lo shares twins Max and Emme with singer Marc Anthony, and A-Rod also has children he needs to take care of financially.

Showbiz Cheatsheet reports that it's a very good thing A-Rod is wealthy because his out of pocket expenses to take care of his children gets a little pricey from month to month. And the relationship he shares with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis is far from ideal.

The year of their divorce, Rodriguez’s 10-year, $275 million contract with the Yankees made him the highest-paid baseball player in the game. With that kind of income, the child and spousal support he was ordered to pay was also substantial.

By some reports, he was paying $115,000 a month. At the time he was also earning $30 million a year.

Now that Rodriguez's daughters are getting older their need for care has increased, and his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis has been making a few adjustments to their original agreement.

Since retiring from baseball Rodriguez’s income is roughly 90% less than it used to be – only $3 million a year, instead of $30 million. He feels that it would be fair for him to cut back on his monthly support payments to $20,000 a month.

Scurtis countered with a suggestion of $50,000 a month, and by all accounts, the negotiations were progressing at first.

But then it seems that Lopez got involved in the matter, and things got difficult. Lopez has reportedly inserted herself into discussions between Rodriguez and Scurtis, even making Rodriguez leave the room when Scurtis came in.

“Alex and I have worked well trying to create a stable environment for our daughters and there has never been an issue," said Scurtis. “Until now.”

Looks like this is a battle that J. Lo is ready to take on with A-Rod way before she becomes the next Mrs. Rodriguez.
