R&B Singer Tinashe Makes Distasteful Joke About North West

Tinashe officially is R&B’s rejected princess. Due to issues with her label and not being able to put out certain stylistically potent music that she found rewarding, her career took a backseat for an extended period of time. Thankfully with a devoted cult like following she managed to weather the lows, and strike back with a well received album by the name of “Songs For You”. Now that she has more of a handle over controlling her image, and being free enough to create what she genuinely likes, why is she in the midst of such petty drama?

Admittedly after reading over the title of this article most of you are not willing to accept that Tinashe, a 27 year old woman has “beef” with North West. That sentence in itself sounds as ridiculous as the following situation that transpired last night was. Now, the “tea” between Tinashe and the Kardashians is nothing fresh. In fact it is quite stale almost reminiscent of that box of saltine crackers your grandmother stores in the cupboard just in case you might want to sip on some soup.

For once the drama has nothing initially to do with the head honcho Kim, it actually stems from a foul situation connected to her surface level appearing “non problematic” sister Kendall. In a quick 411 breakdown for all who are not caught up, Kendall basically ended up allegedly instigating a breakup between Tinashe and her ex boyfriend Ben Simmons. Now, most of you probably didn't even know Kendall Jenner had a boyfriend in the first place so dont destroy yourselves over not paying attention to the not so “juicy” details of Jenners secretive life.

After all that unresolved tension with the Kardashian family it is no wonder Tinashe would in some way shape or form “shade” them. But, through the tool of a joke about Kim Kardashian's daughter North West who has absolutely nothing to do with what Kendall does, is a tad distasteful. What Tinashe ended up saying under an Instagram post of someone rapping, was that “North West wishes”. In effect comparing whatever “ability” the child does or does not yet have to somebody else.

Immediately fellow underground artist Justine Skye who is more known for how attractive she is on Instagram than her music, came to the defense of North West with the retort of “You mad”. After that awkward war of words or more so lack thereof was over, Kim Kardashian went in under the post and wrote an entire dissertation. Oddly it had nothing to do with the situation at hand and more so with her apologizing over not giving credit to the person who was singing in the video, due to Kim herself being called out for using her song and not giving her the respect of being recognized for it.
