Tinashe Faces Backlash After Commenting About North West's Recent Performance

This week, Kanye West had his 8th season fashion show in Paris. For the show, North West performed a song. As the models walk by, North happily sings into the mic as people cheer her on. After the short video made its way onto social media, people started to notice that the song North sang sounded very familiar. After a little research, it’s then revealed to be Zaza’s song. Known on Instagram by redcarpetgirlz. Turns out it’s an almost identical song as what North sang.

For those who don’t know, Zaza is an adorable 4-year-old girl who released a song called “What I Do.” The song and video went viral for its adorableness. When Zaza’s team got a hold of North's performance, they did have something to say. They immediately started pointing out the similarities to their daughter’s song. I mean the lyrics are almost identical. On top of that, it’s the same beat. Zaza’s team explained that they believe that creativity deserves respect. This is not the first time the Kardashian family has been called out for using someone else’s idea/design.

Kim was quick to respond. “We love you, North is a huge fan and records in the studio all the time with her dad and is inspired by Zaza and loves Lay Lay too!” Kim then goes on to claim that North’s performance was supposed to be a remix and something that she asked to do last minute. She then asks if the girls can meet soon. Because there was no mention of anything, A lot of people agree that it does seem like they took the song and tried to make it seem like it was Norths.

In the comments, everyone chimed in with their opinion but one stood out to people. Under Zaza’s post towards Kim Kardashian, Tinashe Wrote “North West wishes.” Surprisingly, everyone got upset at her comment even though most people took Zaza's side. This is not the first time Tinashe has been in the news regarding the Kardashians. Back in 2018, Tinashe’s now-ex boyfriend Ben Simmons supposedly broke up with her because she was acting too much like a Kardashian. Weeks later, he turns around and dates Kendall Jenner.

After only a few hours, social media was ripping Tinashe apart and even the soulful singer Justine Skye has something to say. “You Mad?” Justine responds. Tinashe then jumps on to Twitter to defend herself. “It was a f—king joke yall seriously dragging it. Y’all really acting as if I personally reached out to the little girl like she even on the gram like im f—king sick of everyone being so d—n self-righteous plssssssssssss.” Her last tweet went on to say “I swear yall just like to be mad about stuff. Yes it was a joke, lighten up.”

It seems like both Tinashe and Justine commenting, only made matters worse concerning the video. People ended up questioning Justine and wondering if she kept that same energy with Kylie Jenner. A few years ago Justine and Kylie were close until Kylie started dating Justine’s ex, Travis Scott. Overall, everything from the original video just seems messy.
