If you don’t know, this is rapper Lil Dicky. What a name right? While he doesn’t look like a rapper, and actually looks a little nerdy, Lil Dicky has made some pretty popular songs like ‘Freaky Friday’ ft Chris Brown, and ‘$ave Dat Money’ ft Fetty Wap and Rich Homie Quan.
While white rappers are not very common, here are some of the few white rappers who have made their mark in the music industry and produced a few hit songs.
The most iconic of them all is _Eminem. _Eminem is not only the ‘greatest white boy rapper,’ but he’s arguably one of the greatest rappers to ever rap. With such a distinct sound and a very distinct flow, Eminem has won several Grammy Awards, Billboard Awards, and MTV Music Awards for his music.
He’s most known for his hit songs like ‘Love The Way You Lie’ ft Rihanna, ‘Mockingbird,’ ‘Lose Yourself,’ and ‘The Real Slim Shady.’ He will always be remembered as one of the greatest rap artists.
Second on the list is MGK, or Machine Gun Kelly. Some of his more popular music includes songs like ‘Wild Boy’ ft Waka Flaka and ‘Candy’ ft Trippie Red. Surprisingly, Machine Gun Kelly got his name given to him for his ‘rapid’ style of rap.
He was feuding with awhile with Eminem. It all started when MGK made a tweet about ‘how hot’ Eminem’s daughter, Hailie was. In MGK’s defense, in his original tweet, he really wasn’t completely disrespectful and gave respect to Eminem as being ‘the king.’ Nonetheless, the two feuded for awhile and made several dis tracks about each other.
Mac Miller, unfortunately overdosed and died in 2018, but he was known as a great rapper and artist. This Pittsburgh native made hit songs like ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Self-Care,’ and he made the hit song ‘The Way’ with Ariana Grande. His album ‘Swimming’ got him a Grammy nomination as well.
While he was only 26 years old when he died, he is still known as one of the greatest white rappers. He had a great flow and a great sounding voice. Rest in peace Mac!
It’s I-g-g-y. She is notably the only female white rapper to have any big hits. Some of her hit songs include ‘Fancy,’ ‘Black Widow,’ and ‘Beg For It.’ She’s even won MTV Music Awards and Billboard awards.
While she received criticism for ‘being white’ and trying to be ‘black,’ then for dating Nick Young, and getting plastic surgery, she really hasn’t done anything all that harmful so to her defense, we all should just let her live. She has made some catchy, fun music that everybody likes.
