Carrie Underwood‘s workout body is nowhere near done on the jaw-dropping front. The 36-year-old country singer is arguably in the best shape of her life – today is also a giant calendar one for Carrie as she finally releases her diet, exercise, and wellness book. Keep reading for details of it and the accompanying #Fit52 app.
As part of the buzz ahead of Carrie’s book release, the “American Idol” winner has been profiled by magazines including In Style and Women’s Health. The latter came complete with a rock-climbing photo of the singer – and it was a wowing shot.
Both, it would seem. Women’s Health included this photo of the blonde, with literally everything about it seeming to scream: “Workout motivation.”
The image showed Carrie clinging to an indoor rock-climbing wall with one hand, also delicately using her sneaker-clad feet to stay up. The star was flaunting her world-famous and rock-hard legs in a super-tight and tiny pair of leather hot pants in black. She also sported a green-and-white cropped hoodie flashing a little flat midriff, plus a watch.
Carrie’s insanely muscular legs were on full show. Likewise, her stunning smile as she shot the camera a grin from her sideways positioning.
Carrie has been speaking out about her fitness. The “Cry Pretty” singer told In Style that workouts are huge contributor to her body, but there was a little something extra.
“I always take the stairs, which firms your legs, and at home I’ll do lunges as I go from one room to the next,” she said, then adding that she does keep an eye on her calories and overall nutrition.
“The second is a good self-tanner or body bronzer. I like Ofra Cosmetics RCK Body Glow, a tinted lotion with a bit of shimmer. If you want your legs to look toned, believe me, a little shimmer goes a long way,” Carrie dished.
The product retails for $39.
“Find Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life” is now out. The book was mentioned by Carrie as she spoke to In Style while mentioning home workouts.
“These little moves keep up my energy, especially on days when I can’t get in a full workout. That’s why Fit52, the health plan featured in my book, Find Your Path, and in my new fit52 app that I developed with my trainer Eve Overland, takes a week-by-week approach,” she said, also adding:
“When you have 52 chances a year to make it a healthy week, you’re less inclined to scold yourself over one bad day. It’s designed to help you stay on track while allowing you some grace.”
Carrie made major headlines at the beginning of the week for revealing that she was starving herself back in 2005, the year she won “American Idol.”
Carrie admitted that being called “fat” on an online message board had gotten to her, to the point where she began checking food labels, logging her elliptical time, and reducing her calorie intake to just 800 per day. The average woman requires 2,000 calories.
Carrie is now back to health. The star also juggles her music career with her Calia by Carrie athleisurewear line, plus her marriage to Mike Fisher. Together, the couple is parents to two boys.
