‘The Vampire Diaries’ Star Paul Wesley & Wife Ines de Ramon Split After 3 Years

"The Vampire Diaries" star Paul Wesley and his wife, Ines de Ramon, have split after three years of marriage.

In August, the 40-year-old actor had been seen promoting his brand of Brothers Bond Bourbon in New York City with its cofounder and his on-screen "TVD" brother, actor Ian Somerhalder. However, eagle eagled fans noticed that he was not wearing his wedding ring at the event. He was also spotted without one at the Bourbon and Beyond Music Festival earlier this month.

It seems the rumors are true, as a rep for the actor confirmed to PEOPLE that Wesley and his wife of three years, Anita Ko Jewelry professional Ines de Ramon, 29, had officially called it quits on their marriage.

In a statement to PEOPLE magazine, Paul Wesley's rep confirmed that the two had called it quits on their marriage and had actually been apart for a few months.

“A rep for PW and IR has confirmed that they have separated,” a statement read. “The decision to separate is mutual and occurred 5 months ago. They request privacy at this time.”

According to Us Weekly, the two had sparked rumors that they were romantically involved when they were caught holding hands after a dinner date back in June 2018. The following month, Wesley made their romance "Instagram official" by sharing a photo of the two together at a wedding in Montauk alongside former "The Vampire Diaries" costar Nina Dobrev, who he had been romantically involved with on the show but never in real life.

In February 2019, the two were spotted in New York again, this time, it looked like they were wearing matching wedding rings. It was actually Nina Dobrev who seemed to let slit that they were married in June, when she referred to her as Paul's "wife" on an episode of the Directionally Challenged podcast, as reported by PEOPLE.

“We hang out a lot,” Nina said of her relationship with Paul at the time. “We’re really good friends. I love his wife. It’s so funny how time changes everything because I never thought he would be one of my best friends.”

On July 23, 2020, Ines de Ramon posted a throwback photo of their wedding on the couple's one-year anniversary on Instagram to confirm that they were married. The two looked as happy as can be as they kissed on the beach.

The two reportedly share a rescue dog named Gregory, but the two have no other children. Although they have no other child, this is actually not Paul's first marriage. He was previously married to "Beautiful People" actress Torrey DeVitto in 2011. The couple split in July 2013 and their divorce was finalized in December 2013.

In a recent Instagram post, Wesley is hiding his hands, so it's not immediately clear that he has taken his wedding ring off as he stands on the far edge of the photo. Nina Dobrev stands in the center of the shot, separated from her “The Vampire Diaries” costar by her gold-winning Olympic snowboarder boyfriend, Shaun White, who retired from the sport earlier this year.

George Clooney is standing at the far end of the photo, shocking fans to see them in the same shot together. “Celebrating the @omegaeuropeanmasters in Crans Montana, Switzerland with my @omega family,” Wesley explained in the caption. “Shoutout to my friends @raynald_08 @jpp2512 @mel_lags for the Swiss hospitality ?.”

The "Love Hard" actress took to Instagram to share her own photos of the event, captioning her post, “old friends, new friends, one h--- of a good time ⏱??@omega.”

This photo also included comedian Anthony Anderson on the far side of the photo as the group posed for a photograph beside the water. Fortunately, the "Fam" actress knew what content her fans really wanted to see, and managed to snap a selfie with her former "TVD" costar.

In another photo, Nina and Paul snapped a selfie for their followers, with Nina sticking out her tongue for the camera.

Fans can look forward to Paul Wesley starring as the new Captain Kirk in "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds."
