Paris Hilton Shares The Current State of Her Relationship with Kim Kardashian West

Long before Kim Kardashian West was a household name and entrepreneur, she was the personal stylist for Paris Hilton, the heiress to the Hilton fortune. While Kardashian West worked for Paris, the two became very close friends, attending events together and traveling all over the world.

Well, after several years, their relationship dramatically changed and things became a bill hostile between the two. Hilton lashed out against the KKW Beauty founder in 2008 by saying her backside looked like 'cottage cheese stuffed in a trash bag'. It was clear that their bond was certainly not what it used to be.

Not long after Hilton's insulting comments were made, Kardashian West spoke with Harper's Bazaar and explained that the two don't really talk anymore. "As I always say, everyone comes into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime," the reality television star said.

"And she was in my life for a long time … There comes a point in life where you just grow apart and you realize you’re not as similar as you thought. And I never run into her anywhere. Isn’t that so weird?" Of course, this happened over a decade ago and time does wonders for repairing estranged relationships.

Fast forward to Kardashian West’s recent E! True Hollywood Story and it seems that their relationship has drastically recovered. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shared what she thought of Hilton and how she was a massive influence on her career.

"I really am grateful for my experiences with her… She’s a huge, huge reason of my success," Kardashian West said. Hilton, herself, also had complimentary comments for her former friend, saying that she was exceptionally proud of Kim and what she had accomplished in her life.

Speaking with Cosmopolitan Magazine this past week, Hilton described Kardashian West and 'brilliant' and sweet. "We have conversations about it. She traveled the world with me and we have so many amazing memories," Hilton revealed.

"What she’s said is, ‘I really appreciate everything I’ve learned from you,’ and we just always talk [about] how proud of each other we are because we’ve known each other since we were little girls. She’s sweet and kind and brilliant. I’m so proud of her and impressed with her becoming a lawyer; it’s incredible that she’s using her voice and her platform to help others."

During the same interview with Cosmopolitan, Hilton also dished on Nicole Richie. The two were a staple on televisions for their show, The Simple Life, where they would take on blue-collar and oftentimes, repulsive jobs. But like her relationship with Kardashian West, Hilton and Richie had their own sort of 'falling out'. She now insists, though, that they're back on good terms.

"We laugh about it," Hilton said, referring to their bond over the years. "All the costumes last Halloween were people dressing up as us, so we were sending each other photos of different outfits people were wearing. The show is streaming in all these different places right now so everyone is rewatching it, which is awesome."
