Sheryl Lee Ralph Got Flowers From Bey After Emmy Win!

Sheryl Lee Ralph is getting her flowers, and we are loving it!

It has been quite the week for the "Abbott Elementary" star, who has been delighting in the post-winner's glow since she landed an Emmy for her role as the no-nonsense kindergarten teacher — Barbara Howard — on the hit ABC series.

The actress' shocking yet sweet moment of receiving Beyoncé's gesture was set to the theme song from the Broadway musical "Dreamgirls," for which she landed a Tony Award in 1981 and was captured by Ralph's 30-year-old son, Etienne Maurice.

In the clip, which Ralph shared on Instagram, the actress is seen opening a card that includes some personal words from Beyoncé. Per the note, the "Single Ladies" singer — who took over Ralph's Deena role in the 2006 adaptation of "Dreamgirls" wrote:

"To the original Dreamgirl, sending you a beautiful congratulations. All my love, Beyoncé."

The camera quickly panned to show the 65-year-old staring at the arrangement and note before her with her mouth wide open. Ralph continued to stare at Beyoncé's gift for the rest of the clip before stating, "Wonderful. I don't have a voice, but it's wonderful." The actress shared just how much the gesture meant to her in the post's caption, writing:

"Every one has their own special dream and all your dreams can come true. Just look in the mirror and love what's in front of you. Thank you @beyonce don't forget to dream girls!"

In another Instagram reel, the actress is surprised by a delivery man bringing her a bouquet of pink and white flowers while on the set of "Abbott Elementary." After stating that it was "crazy good" to receive flowers, the mother-of-two opened the note and realized that TV queen, Oprah Winfrey, was the sender.

Winfrey stated that she was still recovering from Ralph's Emmy acceptance speech, which was the "greatest of all time." The TV host said she was still celebrating the actress and sent some blessings. The people on set improved the moment, breaking into applause as Ralph appreciated Winfrey before getting wheeled off on the flower trolley. 

In the caption, the "To Sleep with Anger" star said she was "still basking in the glow of love," "smelling the flowers," and "still so thankful and grateful to all of you and Oprah too!!!"

Even rapper and singer-songwriter Kid Cudi chipped in on the congratulatory shoutouts when he sent Ralph a bouquet. Responding to a clip Maurice shared of himself reading the accompanying note, Cudi penned:

"She deserves ALL her flowers!!! What a beautiful family. I cant wait to meet yall one day. Ur welcome @thesherylralph !!! Sendin' all my love to you and ur awesome family. And seriously ur son pronouncing my govt name right made my year!!"

Soon after she landed the Emmy, The Blast noted how historic Ralph's win was, especially for the Black community. As it turned out, the "Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit" actress became the second Black woman to win a Primetime Emmy in the "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series" category after Jackee Harry's 1987 win for "227." 

After she accepted the award from the presenters — Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers — the once-divorced star broke into a verse from jazz singer Diane Reeves' 1993 hit song, "Endangered Species." "I am an endangered species, but I sing no victim song/ I am a woman, I am an artist, and I know where my voice belongs," she passionately belted. 

She subsequently told the audience to look at her as proof that their dreams were attainable, encouraging them not to "ever, ever give up on you." Ralph also paid tribute to her husband — Vincent Hughes, actress Quinta Bunson, her two children — Etienne and Ivy-Victoria, and fans for being in her corner.

Etienne also posted a TikTok video of his mom thanking people for their support before the award ceremony began. He captioned the clip, "A message from Mommy before she hits the red carpet at the #emmys2022. It's her time!"
