What is NCIS: Los Angeles' Renee Felice Smith's net worth? She's been playing Nell Jones since 2010 on NCIS: LA, and her character really illustrates and gives meaning to the saying: "looks can be deceiving".

But, despite all this, how much do fans really know about Renee Felice Smith? She's successful, that's for sure. But that tends to be the only thing anyone knows about her.

Renee Felice Smith was born on Jan. 16, 1985 and raised in New York. She wanted to be in entertainment from the time she was a little girl, and when she was only six years old, she got her first acting job in a Dannon yogurt commercial.

She graduated high school, she attended Tisch School of the Arts in New York, and majored in journalism and drama. She had a passion for acting while in school, and joined a local theater group.

She worked with that group for a while, landed a prominent role in a sitcom called Wyoming, however the show was never picked up by a network and there was only one episode, the pilote episode.

Aside from NCIS: Los Angeles, which was Smith's "big break" into the entertainment industry. Did you know that originally, Smith's character (Nell Jones) was only set to appear in a few episodes of the show? However, the writers were so impressed with her acting skills, they rewrote the script to include her character as a regular! Wow.

Anyway, aside from NCIS: LA, Smith was in an episode of Always Sunn in Philadelphia, and she had some prominent roles in a few movies, The Relationtrip, which she co-directed, Detachment and Baby, she was the exec. producer for the film Baby.

Though her list of credits is not long, she's already making an impact on the entertainment industry, and has been recoginized on several occasions for her talent, and for her love of animals, and of animal adoption.

Most recently she was presented with the SET Award for her outstanding portrayal of female character in tech. Her short film, Baby was also nominanted at the Dallas International Film Festival and the Nashville Film Festival, for the Grand Jury Prize of a Narrative Feature.

Not only is she a talented actress, but she's an avid animal lover. In 2012 she co-created a book series about her French Bulldog named Hugo. She also has directed a public service announcement to bring Mutt-i-gree Curriculum to schools and to communities, to teach about pet adoption.
