Legendary monarch Queen Elizabeth II passed on September 8, 2022. However, many are still mourning the loss of Her Royal Majesty.

Mourners, including dignitaries from other countries, have lined up to pay their last respect to the Queen at her funeral, which was held on Monday, September 19, at Westminster Abbey.

After the state funeral, the monarch's body was escorted through a majestic procession to Windsor Castle, which would be her final resting place.

The Royal Family, in preparation for Her Majesty's funeral, released a new photograph of the deceased monarch, which was taken to mark her platinum Jubilee.

These past few weeks have been filled with condolences and paying off respect to the late Queen. The Royal Family, in a post on Twitter, shared a photo of the late monarch. 

This picture was taken in honor of Her Royal Majesty, for being the first British Monarch to attain a Platinum Jubilee. Queen Elizabeth II looked majestic in an elegant blue outfit and donned an off-white pearl necklace while completing the look with a cute earring.

She smiled beautifully at the camera, flashing a wide grin as she sat on a golden chair with the background blurred. Reacting to this post, a lot of people had several things to say about the photograph.

One fan lamented how life quickly goes by. She wrote, "It's still unimaginable to me that only two days after she flashed this brilliant smile in a cameo for a photographer, she was gone. It doesn't seem possible. I think that's what upset me the most."

A fan page dedicated to "The Wales Family" showed their admiration for the late queen, writing, "That beautiful, unforgettable smile [crying emoji] the amazing Queen Elizabeth II was such a remarkable woman and she did her job beautifully every single day! May Her late Majesty rest in peace."

Another praised her for her looks, noting, "She looks so gorgeous there. Tomorrow will be a highly emotional day for everyone [love emoji]."

A sweet comment read, "Sparkling eyes, sweet smile for us to the end. Thank you, Majesty. Forever in our hearts," while an eagle-eyed fan added, "She looks like she lost a lot of weight in her final moments."

The Sky Pays Its Homage To The Late Queen

Ahead of the Queen's funeral, a rainbow was spotted at the palace of Westminster, where Her Majesty's coffin lay in state for mourners to pay their last respect. The sightings of rainbows are very rare – hence symbolizing this historic moment.

Per People Magazine, the sighting occurred yesterday, Sunday, at the palace. According to them, a local government official tweeted a photo of the breathtaking sky. In the words of the official, "The most incredible rainbow over the Palace of Westminster on the eve of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's funeral." 

This beautiful rainbow was captured over the "Elizabeth Tower," formerly called the "Clock Tower." However, it was later renamed to celebrate the deceased Queen's Diamond Jubilee, which took place in 2012.

This wasn't the first sighting of a rainbow amid the monarch's passing. A rainbow was earlier glimpsed at Buckingham palace shortly before the death of the Queen was announced.

Miss BumBum Models' Unique Way Of Honoring The Adored Monarch

Everyone around the world has decided to pay respect to the British Royal in their distinguished ways. Not exempt from this exercise are the UK Miss BumBum models.

As covered by The Blast, three models competing in the UK Miss BumBum competition announced their decision to go on a "Sex fast" as their way of reverencing the late Queen.

One of the models named Andréa Sunshine took to her Instagram, where she made her declaration to avoid having sexual intercourse until the mourning period is over. She wrote, "I mourn for a week as duly followed by all who respected and loved her, so I will put myself in sexual abstinence for this time of mourning! May God rest her soul in peace. #ripmajesty #london #uk".

Another model who followed suit, named Mikaelly, informed her fans of her decision to abstain from sex for some time. In her words,  "In mourning Queen Elizabeth I will go stay 1 week without sex". 

Following in these footsteps, the third model, Bianka Cabral, imitated the actions of her colleagues.
