Rapper Kanye West recently opened up about how co-parenting his four kids with Kim Kardashian is going. The rapper featured on the "Alo Mind" podcast and addressed all the fan criticism about his recent behavior. West and Kardashian share four kids, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

Kardashian has made it clear in several interviews and during an episode of her Hulu show that she wants West to be a big part of the kids' lives, regardless of the divorce and their strained relationship. In one episode of "The Kardashians," West arrives to take their kids to school in a firetruck.

Kardashian has also previously revealed that she'd been very open about her divorce from West with their kids, especially the older ones. The former couple recently had a feud over the kids' schools, with West insisting on transferring them to his Donda Academy.

Kanye West Speaks About Co-parenting

During a recent appearance on the "Alo Mind" podcast (as per People) West briefly spoke about the public criticism of his recent behavior. He explained that people want to attribute all his actions to "mental health" and want him to "apologize a million times."

The Grammy award-winning rapper and producer also said, "Everybody wants to have everyone so doped out, so controlled out, that you're not allowed to even stand up for the things that you're handing to your family."

West also spoke about his co-parenting relationship with Kardashian, with whom he shares four kids. He said, "Your home is your original church. So, even to this day, I'll still give Kim advice on things that can help, because that's gonna go to the kids. She's still gotta — basically 80 percent of the time — raise those children."

Kim Kardashian Ensures Kanye West Is Part Of The Kids' Life

In February 2021, Kardashian filed for divorce from West after almost seven years of being married. They've since had a messy and very public divorce, with West publicizing almost every detail of their interactions about the kids and antagonizing Kardashian and her family.

In an episode of Kardashian's Hulu series, "The Kardashians," the reality star revealed that she still wants West to be a big part of their kids' lives, regardless of all the drama between them. In the same episode, West arrives to take the kids to school in a firetruck.

During a confessional in the episode, Kardashian said, "No matter what we're going through, I always want my kids to be around their dad as much as possible and just have their mornings with Dad and get dropped off at school."

She's Been Open About The Divorce With Her Kids

During a conversation with Robin Roberts, as per People, Kardashian spoke about her divorce from West and revealed that she's been "really open and honest" with their children about what's going on between their parents. According to People, she explained that the two younger kids, Chicago and Psalm, "don't really understand" but noted that North and Saint "know what's going on."

The SKIMS founder also said, "You have to just be there for them. No matter what, even in this crazy life that we live, you just have to have a really open dialogue with your children. Kanye and I have had conversations. We have to talk daily for the kids so you know, I hate that it had to play out like that. But when it comes to family, I mean, Kanye and I will always be family."

They Recently Had A Feud Over The Kids' Schools

West and Kardashian recently had a feud over their choice of school for their kids. West made several now-deleted posts of text conversations between him and Kardashian. They included messages from the reality star begging West to stop talking about her mom, Kris Jenner.

She wrote as per The Blast, "From my mom- PLEASE ... Tell him to please stop mentioning my name. I'm almost 67 years old and I don't always feel great and this stresses me to no end." Ye replied to the text with, "Y'all don't have so [sic] so over my black children and where they go to school. They will not do playboy and sex tapes. Tell your Clinton friends to come get me. I'm here."

Apparently, the core issue was that West wanted to transfer his kids into the newly opened Donda Academy and Kardashian refused. However, the "Praise God" rapper later put up another Instagram post revealing that he and Kardashian had resolved the school issue.
