Kendall and Kylie Jenner's Complex Relationship: What Kendall Has to Say

Are the two youngest sisters of the Kardashian/Jenner clan as close as they seem? Kendall and Kylie Jenner, 24 and 22, are quite possibly the most famous sisters in the media. Being so close in age and sharing the same spotlight for their whole life, it would seem that they would share a close and inseparable bond. However, this may not be the case. Kendall speaks out about their relationship and all of its complexities, and she has a lot to say.

Kendall has opened up about how growing up, she was very jealous of Kylie and her friends. There has always been sibling rivalry apparent between them, but Kendall details one lonely summer in particular from her childhood, alone because unlike Kylie, she didn't have many friends:

"I had nothing to do. I would just sit with my horses and I’d go ride all day. I’m not kidding. I ride from 8 am to 8 pm I would ride all my trainer horses because I had nothing better to do.

It seems as though Stormi, Kylie's daughter, has made Kylie and Kendall's complex relationship stronger and bridged some of the tension between them. On screen, the two share a relationship made more complicated by the fact that they are more than just sisters, but in the family business together. Though Kendall claims that the two have always been close, she says this about the birth of her niece:

"We’ve always been very close, but we would butt heads all the time. This has made her a bit more loving toward me."

Kylie's daughter, Stormi, has given Kendall and Kylie a better relationship since her birth in 2018. Kendall details her special bond to Stormi despite having multiple other nieces and nephews, saying:

"“I do feel…a really special connection to Stormi. I don’t know if it’s that Kylie is my little sister, but I was hanging out with her the other day at lunch, and we were just sitting, and [Stormi] was just so comfortable with me, and it made me so happy.”

Kylie and Kendall have a complex relationship, but they have always been close. Kendall talks about their inseparable bond when gushing about her excitement about the birth of her niece, Stormi, saying:

"It’s not that it’s more exciting than any other births in the family. It’s different exciting, because she’s my baby sister who I grew up with. We all grew up in twos: Kourtney and Kim grew up together; Rob and Khloé; Brandon and Brody; Burton and Casey, and then Kylie and I. So to see my best friend growing up have a baby? It’s already made us even closer."
