Latin superstar Bad Bunny and several other reggaeton musicians have donated to help Mayah Zamora and her family purchase a new home. Ten-year-old Zamora was one of the survivors of the recent Uvalde school shooting incident. The Correa Family Foundation opened a fundraiser for her family after she refused to go home because of her proximity to the shooter's home.
The foundation announced they'd raised enough money at the Houston Astros baseball game in Houston, where Zamora threw the first pitch. They also thanked Bad Bunny's Good Bunny foundation and reggaeton duo Wisin and Yandel for their "generous donations."
Bad Bunny also recently hosted Zamora and her family at his September 9th concert in Texas. The Correa Family Foundation posted photos on Instagram of the singer posing with the little girl backstage as she held up merch signed by him and smiled brightly.

Mayah Zamora Is A Uvalde Shooting SurvivorÂ
10-year-old Zamora was an active member of the robotics club at her school and was also an Honor Roll student until her life changed on May 24th, 2022. That day, a shooter walked into her Robb Elementary school, killing 19 students and two teachers and severely wounding 17 others.
Zamora required over 20 surgeries for the gunshot wounds to her hands, back, arms, and chest. She stayed in the hospital for more than 66 days and, when she regained consciousness, discovered that the shooter lived just blocks away from her home. According to MLB.com, Zamora then refused to return home because of the fear and trauma the shooter caused her.
Bad Bunny Donated To The Fundraiser
The Correa Family Foundation learned about Zamora's situation and opened a fundraiser to help Zamora and her family find a new home in an area she feels safe. Puerto Rican musician Bad Bunny then donated to the cause through his Good Bunny foundation, although the amount he donated remains private.
Several other celebrities donated to the fundraiser for Zamora, including reggaeton duo Wisin and Yandel and the TokenSociety.io co-founders James and Korrine Whipkey and Scott H. Weissman. Finally, the foundation raised enough money to build a new home for Zamora.
The Foundation Has Raised Enough Money
In an August 24th Instagram post, the Correa Family Foundation announced that it had finally raised enough money for the new home. The post read, "We have secured the funding to build Mayah and her family a new home in a location where she feels safe and comfortable. Correa continued, "I texted Enrique right away and I said, 'We've got to figure out ways to help these kids.' And he happened to get in contact with Mayah and her family, and we're here for Mayah and her family and whatever they need."
Bad Bunny Hosted Zamora And Her Family
The "Me porto bonito" singer also hosted Zamora and her family at his Texas concert on September 9th. The Correa Foundation posted several cute backstage photos on Instagram of Zamora posing and smiling with Bad Bunny and holding up signed merch from the singer.
