Let’s be real, we were all looking forward to Peter Weber‘s Fantasy Suites week. If not only because we know him as the windmill guy, but because we also learned the contestants would be staying together for this season’s Fantasy Suites.
To be clear, the contestants usually stay in two separate hotel rooms. That way they’re unsure of when the other overnights take place, and they have no idea who stays over and who doesn’t. With the girls staying in one room this time, things were set up for drama.
Keeping all the women separate during Fantasy Suites is kind of just a nice thing to do. They don’t have to be overly worried about what everyone is doing and who’s sleeping with who. This is especially true since all three girls are dating The Bachelor. Imagine how hard it would be to see another girl leave to go on a date with your boyfriend and return the next morning.
Clearly this was where Madison’s head was at the entire time. As the other two girls leave and return, you can see her head begin to spin.
It’s likely that they shared a room simply because of the drama that would come out of it. The producers knew that Madison had given Peter an ultimatum. Forcing Madison to watch the other two girls return from their overnight was particularly painful.
In Madison’s ultimatum, she stated that she would be uncomfortable if Peter had been intimate with the other two contestants. Madison is saving herself for marriage, so these are the things that are important to her. Peter clearly didn’t share the same values.
When asked why, Chris Harrison responded with,
“We’ve never done it before. Obviously, this is a little historical. There’s things we do as producers on the show that force situations that need to be forced. This Madison relationship needed to come to a head. Clearly there were things that needed to be spoken of. They’re not good at speaking. She put an ultimatum on the table, which, by the way, is fine if that’s your faith and that’s your way of life, that’s fine. I know – why is she on The Bachelor? Bigger question. Why, why, why? But that was the reason we put them all together.”
Chris Harrison adds,
“Yes, it was awkward, and yes we have never done it before, probably won’t ever do it again, but this season needed it because Madison and Peter and that situation really dictated it. It needed to happen.”
He went on to speak about Women Tell All, saying that,
“It’s gonna be an interesting ‘Tell All’ because this group doesn’t quite have that sisterhood that a lot of them have. There’s always the villain or the one that’s outspoken the most but it seems to have been fractured so much.”
We’re happy that this weird Fantasy Suites situation won’t be happening again. Thankfully, we have Women Tell All to look forward to next week.
