Erika Jayne Responds To Jennifer Lawrence’s Comments
During a recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” (via Page Six), Jayne shrugged off Lawrence’s comments on her, the show, and the insults. She said, “You know, it’s easy to label people when they are at their absolute lowest going through something in real time on television.”
The reality star then invited Lawrence to join the show sometime, saying, “But anytime that she would like to come on down and mix it up with us, I’m sure that we could unmask the ugly parts of her personality as well.” Host Cohen laughed at how straight-faced Jayne was as she addressed Lawrence.
He said, “Look, she doesn’t even flinch as she says it.” Michael Rapaport was also a guest during the interview, and he nodded his head along to Jayne’s statements, seemingly in agreement with her words.
Jennifer Lawrence Called Erika Jayne ‘Evil’
In several interviews, Lawrence has made it clear that she’s a superfan of the “Housewives” franchise and follows each show religiously. During a recent interview with Variety at the Toronto International Film Festival, Lawrence spoke about the latest season of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” particularly Erika Jayne.
She said, “My biggest problem with this season is that it’s just been boring and I think that Erika is evil. I would go as far as to say, she needs a publicist ASAP.” Lawrence also shared her concerns that the 12th season is “boring” and needs something new.
The “Silver Linings Playbook” actress also suggested that the other housewives help Jayne realize how bad her behavior is. Her “Causeway” co-star Brian Henry is also a fan of the franchise but refused to share his opinion on Jayne and the show. He said, “Don’t drag me into this, I don’t want Dorinda or Erika coming for me, we’re good.”
The Reality Show Has Documented Her Legal Troubles
“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” has extensively documented Jayne and her estranged husband Tom Girardi’s legal troubles since Girardi was sued in 2020. The former attorney was charged for allegedly embezzling settlement money from the families of the Lion Air plane crash victims.
Last month, a Los Angeles court found “no evidence of wrongdoing” on Jayne’s part and determined that she was not guilty in the $5 million lawsuit for aiding and abetting Girardi’s crimes. However, the reality star will still battle a $25 million civil lawsuit.
Shortly after news on the judge’s ruling made the rounds, Jayne took a screenshot of an article by Page Six about her legal win and posted it on her Instagram. She captioned the post, “Thank you to my friends that have stood beside me. All I asked for was time and understanding.”
Erika Jayne Denied All Charges And Is Cooperating
Jayne has severally denied any knowledge of Girardi’s crimes prior to his arrest and claims to have done nothing wrong. During an interview with Page Six in May, she revealed that she has been “co-operating… fully” with the authorities and all legal proceedings.
The reality star also noted that “of course, she has empathy” for the victims of Girardi’s crimes. She said, “Of course I have empathy for them. I had empathy for them then, and I have empathy for them now. And I trust that they will be taken care of.”
Later on in the interview, Jayne said, “Listen, I want to be very clear here: I have co-operated fully with everything. Despite what is out there in blogs or tweets or anything on social media, please understand that I’ve co-operated fully.”
