Nicki Minaj Apologizes For Husband Pushing Trinidad Singer, "He's Always In Security Mode"

Nicki Minaj is apologizing for her husband's brief spat with a singer during the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival festivities, after a video surfaced of getting a little pushy with one of the performers who got to close to his wife.

In the video, you can see Nicki Minaj up on stage with singer Iwer George, as he performs to the packed crowd. But, at one point you can see him reach over as to get Minaj involved with the song and Kenneth Petty pushes him arm out of the way. It appears leading up to moment Petty was not happy with the couple's surroundings.

After the video was posted on Instagram, a person commented: "Come again...tell petty loosen up a bit."

Nicki responded to the comment on her husband, saying, "oh gawd. Allyuh like s*** eh? I go cus all yuh real fkn stink yuh know? He don' understand anything about our culture. I apologize on his behalf. He's always in security mode. All love. Love my country to death. Love my ppl to death. Period."

Nicki is a native of the area and was born in Saint James, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

During the online discussion captured by Shade Room of the incident, another person responded, "you write dat dialect like ah boss! Tell bae he is ah honorary Trini but yuh have to warn him! Yuh know we not easy! But is ah love as yuh say! By next year he jumping up with Iwer!! PS You looked gorgeous in that costume."

Nicki continued her explanation of Petty's behavior by saying, "you r right. I should've told him it's a very comfortable family atmosphere. He's never been to a carnival in his life. Not even in Brooklyn babe."

If you watch the video, it seems Nicki has a point. The crowds at Carnival can be huge and it looks like Petty is a bit overwhelmed with the atmosphere at the time. It doesn't look like he is particularly upset with one person.

But, this isn't the first time Petty has gotten into an altercation while with his wife. As we reported, Kenneth got into a screaming match with Meek Mill, after the couple ran into the rapper over Grammy weekend.

In the end, it looks like the crowd love Nicki and the rest of the party went on without a hitch!
