Halle Berry took to Instagram on Sunday seemingly intent on reminding her 5.9 million followers why she was once named the sexiest woman alive by men’s magazine Esquire. Then 42, now 53, the Academy Award-winning Catwoman actress looked no less smoldering as she posted a sexy snap of herself in an incredible white swimsuit while on a tropical getaway to a mystery sunny spot she labeled a “mini-vacay.”
Lounging poolside, leaving her location unstated and the background veiled in shadow, Halle flaunted her MMA-trained body in a patch of scintillating sunlight, with the one-piece’s dangerous neckline and flimsy strips of fabric showing off her Aphroditic chest, toned arms, and fit figure.
Halle struck her pose perfectly, hair flowing in an elegant tumble like watery waves, while her circular metallic sunglasses captured the reflection of the shimmering pool behind the camera. The overall effect was as dramatic and enigmatic as the escapades of her weather-bending superhero character, Storm, from the X-Men franchise, albeit a whole lot sunnier.
Although she isn’t one to usually flash so much cleavage, her boldly displayed seraphic physique has racked up over 115,000 Likes on Instagram already. In matters of beauty, perhaps it’s the scarcity that matters as much as the demand?

“Owwww owww,” pro fighter Pearl Gonzales commented, punctuated with a flame emoji and heart-eyes, as if miming being burned by Halle’s heat.
Fans were quick to flood the poolside shot with a medley of compliments of their own. “You are so beautiful,” came one commentator, stating what we all know.
“Blushing from Wisconsin.”
“Too hot to handle.”
“Love you so much. Enjoy!!”
“May I join,” another asked cheekily.
Others zeroed in on her shades, complimenting her chic choice in style more than her stunning physique. “Love the details on the bathing suit,” gushed another.
How does Halle stay so age-defyingly fit? A ketogenic diet, meal prep and fitness routine are the keys, she attests. Fridays for Halle are opportunities to share her fitness and diet regimens, promoting the #FitnessFriday hashtag on Instagram, and hosting #PHIT Talks on her Story alongside her personal trainer and mixed martial artist, Peter Lee Thomas.
She starts off every day well-hydrated, drinking a 12-ounce glass of water with a squeeze of lemon for taste. With up to 75% of Americans falling short of the daily 10 cups of water recommended by the Institute of Medicine, something so simple as bucking the trend of chronic dehydration can be a major game-changer when it comes to health and fitness.
She also takes supplements with amino acids—the basic building blocks of the body that double as sources of energy and nutrient storage—which help prevent muscle damage, build muscle, and decrease soreness. According to Peter Lee Thomas, the supplement Halle takes is Master Amino Pattern by Purium.
Yet equally, Halle has emphasized self-love that focuses on balance, wellness and body positivity rather than some feverish frenzy to stay fit and adhere to a diet. “Sometimes you just have to eat what you want,” she said. “You have to satisfy that craving, and that’s how you can come back better and stronger.” With Halle declaring herself “her own damn valentine” on Instagram earlier this month, there’s no doubt she has self-love and confidence in spades.
